With Beyond the Gates debuting in February and a trailer being released the week before Christmas, shooting of the new soap is well underway in Georgia and has been since November.
That means actors may be asked for things they never expected in order to bring the stories to life. Karla Mosley recently took to Instagram to talk about a "hot" pic the production team needed.

Apparently, a photo of Mosley's character in swimwear could creep up in the story, according to Mosley's post.
"The art department on @beyondthegatescbs asked if I could find a hot picture of me in a bikini from my youth (ok, I inserted the hot part)," Mosley wrote. "This was the closest thing I could find. I don’t think they understand how awkward I was…am."
Mosley shared a photo of herself as a baby taking a bath. In the adorable snap, Mosley is in a middle bathtub placed in a larger bathtub, staring right into the camera with toys in front of her.
Beyond the Gates Executive Producer, Michele Val Jean approved of the photo with laughing emojis in the replies. The Young and the Restless star Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), who Mosley worked with on The Bold and the Beautiful, simply wrote, "This wins."
Beyond the Gates brings Mosley back to soaps
Mosley got her soap opera start on Guiding Light in 2008, where she played Christine Boudreau. However, her breakout role did not come until five years later when Mosley joined the cast of B&B as Forrester model Maya Avant.
After Maya fell for Rick Forrester (Jacob Young), she revealed she was transgender. Maya and Rick later went on to have the first transgender wedding in soap opera history before embarking on a surrogacy story.
When Beyond the Gates premiers on February 24, soap vet Mosley will make her daytime return playing rich girl Dani Dupree, the daughter of the soap's patriarch and matriarch Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie).

Dani has been described as the Duprees' wild child, which was evidenced in the trailer released on December 16. In the video footage, we see Dani take a fancy golf club to a man's desk and throw all the contents on the floor in a rage. We'll have to wait to watch Beyond the Gates in full to see what Dani was so angry about.
