First Look! Behind the scenes at Beyond the Gates

Beyond the Gates, the new CBS daytime serial premieres on February 24, 2025, and what will become dedicated fans are getting their first look into the gated community that’s about to capture our attention.

The excitement is building for cast and crew as production got underway this week. With just five weeks to go before the premiere, new photos have been shared of some of the cast and the first episode.

A peek Beyond the Gates

The cast of Beyond the Gates has been sharing new photos, in particular Tamara Tunie, who posted, “Meet the Duprees February 24th” on her Instagram along with a picture of her new onscreen family. Tunie stars as the matriarch of the Dupree family, Anita Dupree. Her husband on the show stood beside her in the photo, Vernon Dupree, played by Clifton Davis. Also in the picture is Karla Mosely, who plays Anita and Clifton’s daughter Dani, and Daphne Duplaix, who portrays the eldest daughter, Dr. Nicole Dupree.

The Two Grand Dames

Anyone who has watched Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac, knows that Karen Huger is the self-proclaimed "true Grande Dame of Potomac." In some sneak peeks of the first episode of this groundbreaking new daytime drama, Ms. Huger does a cameo.

What’s happening on the set

Now that they’re on the set working, the cast has been sharing some behind the scenes peeks into the production. The excitement is visibly mounting in their comments and posts on social media, and they seem happy to share what they can. Jen Jacob, who plays nurse Ashley Morgan, posted a video of her arriving at work.

Jacob also shared when she did her first interview with costar Benjamin Gavin. Gavin plays Ashley’s boyfriend, firefighter Derek Baldwin. She shared, “ First big interview down. ✅ So glad I got to do it with @benjamingavin. Cannot wait for you guys to meet Ashley and Derek.”

Jacob shared some pictures on the set, including a table read and some wardrobe and hair and makeup shots. She added, “Something I found myself saying over and over again was how much of a dream come true @beyondthegatescbs is. For all of us who get to play in Fairmont everyday, but for the writers, creators and viewers too. Feels like fairy dust magic 🧚 to be part of such a dream come true in real time. Grateful grateful. Always. Also @christylee_1 gives me Rachel hair everyday…how’d I get so lucky? February 24th is around the corner…” Co-star Karla Mosely quickly reacted, commenting excitedly, “Eeeeeee!!!! You’re rocking it!!!!! The world is about to fall in love.”
