DVR Reminder! Beyond the Gates premieres Monday, February 24th

Beyond the Gates, CBS’s brand new sudser starts tomorrow, Monday, February 24th. Remember to set your DVR to go into the gated community that promises lots of drama, intrigue, and other soapy entertainment.

Beyond the Gates will be set in the posh gated community of Fairmont Estates, part of an affluent suburb of Maryland, Washington, DC. The Dupree family is at the heart of it all, led by patriarch Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and his wife, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), and their daughters, Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix), and last but not least, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosely). The Hamiltons and the Richardsons are the other two main families you’ll meet, along with a plethora of supporting cast members.

The show will be filmed in Atlanta, GA. The state has significant tax breaks afforded to the film industry, and with all of the existing infrastructure there, Atlanta has become a popular and cost-effective place to film for the small and the big screens. With so many diverse locations in and around Atlanta, everything another place has can be replicated. For example, the hit show Ozark was set in The Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, but all of the locations except the Illinois scenes were filmed in Atlanta, GA.

The show is making history as the first daytime soap to feature predominantly an all-Black cast in 30 years and the first to premiere for CBS since The Bold and the Beautiful in 1987.

Beyond the Gates is a debut project from the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture that will air weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT on the CBS Television Network. It will also stream live and on-demand on Paramount Plus.
