Eva (Ambyr Michelle) still hasn’t won over Kat (Colby Muhammed), and chances are slim at this point that she ever will. As Eva tries to explain herself, Kat gives her the hand and tells her to spare her from hearing her talking. Eva assuredly tells Kat that she doesn’t want anything that belongs to her, but Kat doesn’t believe her. “Please,” Kat scoffs, “Just my life and everything in it.”

Andre (Sean Freeman) goes to see Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) for some relationship advice, or lack thereof. He confesses he’s got some real feelings going on for Ashley (Jen Jacob), even though he knows she’s in a relationship with Derek (Ben Gavin).

Nicole is disappointed when he shares what’s on his mind. “I don’t typically go for girls who are already attached,” he adds, then wonders about himself, “Where does that come from?”

Later, Nicole’s own relationship might need some counseling. Tension runs high between Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole, and when he tells her sternly that she needs to let it go, she claps back coldly, “Care to explain why you’re trying to tell me what to do?”

Married bliss…or something

Hayley (Marquita Goings) and Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) marriage got off to a rocky start (understatement of the year), and they should be in their honeymoon phase. However, Hayley’s stress and frustration is through the roof and she vents to Bill that she can’t keep putting up with it.

Sitting on their couch at home, Hayley tells Bill, “We weren’t meant to be together,” but is she giving up on her marriage already, or does she mean something else? Bill looks concerned as Hayley says, “We should call this thing off.”

Relative liability

“You want me to sue my father’s firm?” Bill’s daughter, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) asks. Talking to her husband, Jacob (Jibre Hodges) at Uptown, who asks Naomi if she has it in her. “I want this so bad, I can taste it!” Naomi tells him.

I’d pour you a coffee, but the mugs are broken

In a kitchen, Dani (Karla Mosley) is face-to-face with Hayley, and she doesn’t look like she wants to break bread with her. Something else, maybe. “Don’t try me again, Dani,” Hayley warns her, adding, “You don’t want to see what happens when you do.”
