What to expect on Beyond the Gates

Doug (Jason Graham), the noted heart surgeon and husband to realtor Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), is making a mess of his life and is in deep debt to Joey, the casino owner. His pal Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) works at the casino. In Thursday's episode, Randy has some questions for Doug, and Doug needs to give some answers. Vanessa isn't aware of the gambling problem or how deep it's got her husband.

Vanessa just keeps digging her hole

Vanessa was last seen meeting with Joey over coffee, and the topic of conversation sure looked like it was real estate and business focused. Still, soon, there was a lot of innuendo, and what appeared to be Joey had a more personal agenda with Vanessa. On Thursday's episode, Nicole will crash Vanessa's business meeting. This could result in Vanessa having to cover for what's happening or answer a few awkward questions. It’s doubtful that someone with Nicole's connections wouldn't know how shady Joey is. Vanessa has a lot to juggle, much like her husband Doug, with her fling with Diego (Carlos E. Palachio) and another gym member she is flirting with. Adding Joey to the list seems more trouble than it's worth. What about Joey's illegal dealings and corruption? Hardly the scene to now get yourself involved with Vanessa.

Bring it on, father vs daughter

Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) thought he had made the problem of the lawsuit for sexual harassment go away. He had met with the claimants and had warned or threatened; however you choose to look at it, it wasn't the best way to go having this tried in court. The ladies told Naomi that they would rather settle. Naomi convinced them to reconsider, but in today's episode (2nd April), Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie) did their best to convince Naomi to go easy on Bill as it always gets nasty when he’s involved. They didn't need it in the press and were seen as unable to handle their business privately. This didn't go how Anita and Vernon wanted it to. After talking with her husband Jacob, Naomi is more driven than ever to take this right at Bill. On Thursday's episode, Naomi and Bill will go head to head, father vs daughter, and Bil,l with everything on the line, will not back down.
