What to expect on Beyond the Gates
Week to week Doug (Jason Graham) gets his situation with Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) from bad to worse on Beyond the Gates. Just when we thought he had turned a corner, he’s right back into bad decision mode. Doug can't avoid Joey, as seen when Joey just appeared at the hospital to see Doug and his new injury he obtained. Doug's wife Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), is the real target Joey is after, well her realty business to use as a money laundering arrangement. Doug just saw Vanessa and Joey looking very cozy together at a table where they were discussing a partnership between the two. Doug needs to get out ahead of this and in Friday's episode Doug admits his struggles with a growing gambling addiction, but who does he tell?
The firm
Whether Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) wants to admit it or not he has some health issues, maybe he did attend a physical with his Dr? His health issues are going to come into play sooner or later in Beyond the Gates, and Bill has just recruited Tomas (Alex Alegria) to be his spy. Bill appointed Tomas onto the Board that the three women who won a settlement in the harassment case newly formed. With Tomas reporting back everything, Bill can keep control. Which is a good thing, as in Friday's episode Bill fights to maintain power over his firm despite health concerns. Is stress a trigger for Bill? Are the partners concerned?

Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and his wife Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) make a good team, between Jacob’s detective instincts and protective nature and Naomi’s quick thinking and eye for details any situation they find themselves in can be readily tackled. On Friday's episode, Naomi steps in to defend a combative homeless woman under Jacob’s watchful eye. What are the chances this combative homeless woman is actually Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) in yet another one of her disguises? Leslie will stop at nothing to get to her goal and she has already proven that nothing is off limits. Being the end of the week we are due for some tense moments to leave us hanging and wishing the weeknd can't go by soon enough so that we can return to Beyond the Gates.
