Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) has been playing a dangerous game, getting close to the shadiest man in the district. Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) runs the casino and has cops paid off and what appears to be the local PD in his pocket from the Chief of Police down. Vanessa's husband Doug (Jason Graham) owes a lot of money to Joey and has just had the revelation that he is going to quit gambling. This isn’t going to go over well with Joey, as Doug is the goose that laid the golden egg. On Friday's episode, Vanessa's bond with Joey challenges her marriage. Vanessa admits that she has feelings for Joey to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) this week, will this doom Doug?

Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) has been a busy lady recently, preparing a case against her father's law firm. In Friday's episode, Naomi arranges a family outing to support Anita. Whenever one of the Dupree family gets involved with a project, everyone rallies behind them, like Dani’s (Karla Mosley) fashion show. This will be no different, with the full weight of the Dupree family behind her, Anita can take anything on.

Dani was the queen of fashion at Fairmont Crest and had a modelling career that was both bright and full of accolades until she quit to be with Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durett). Dani went on to manage the career of her daughter, Chelsea (Rhonnirose Mantilla), as she became the next shining star on the catwalk. Since then, Chelsea too has quit modelling and is now pursuing a fashion line career with her cousin Kat (Colby Muhammed). Now that Chelsea is going to manage the career of budding model Samantha, Dani feels like she’s been rejected left and right and has enlisted the help of her bestie Pamela (Cady McClain).

Pamela has invented Operation Gemstone to help Dani get her shine back. On Friday’s episode, Dani contemplates a grand comeback in fashion with a bold new venture at Pamela’s side. Just talking to Pamela about this has seen Dani start to feel like the Dani Dupree of old. Look out, Fairmont Crest, Dani Dupree is beginning a resurgence.
