Beyond the Gates’ “Welcome to the Neighborhood” is a five-part behind-the-scenes look at the show and who the characters are, where filming locations ar,e and so much more. This special is brought to you by Entertainment Tonight and hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and comedian and TV host Sheryl Underwood. The exclusive look into what is Beyond the Gates will air on Monday, February 17th through to Friday, February 21st on CBS at 2:00-2:30 p.m., ET; 1:00-1:30 p.m., PT

Filmed in the Beyond the Gates’ stages in Atlanta, Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood takes us behind the scenes to see the path that has been taken to bring this groundbreaking new show to life. From representing black culture and history to the 27 highly detailed and meticulously created sets that make the world of Fairmont Crest, viewers will watch a wealthy gated community with leafy tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions come to life.

You’ll see footage from the cast’s first table read, on-set interviews, and never-before-seen moments. The special gives you the viewer a front-row seat to the making of the first new daytime soap opera to air since 1999 and the first to have a predominantly all black cast. Go Beyond the Gates with an exclusive look at how the show will balance authenticity and storytelling to create a show like no other.

The Breakdown

Here's what to expect from each of the five parts:

Episode One: Unveiling Fairmont Crest airs on Monday, Feb. 17th at 2:00-2:30 PM, ET; 1:00-1:30 PM, PT on CBS. The first episode show the doors being opened to Fairmont Crest, hailed as a “world rich with history, culture and secrets waiting to be uncovered” here you will get to know the cast and creative minds behind the show in an infront and behind the camera look.

Episode Two: Creating the Cast will air on Tuesday, Feb. 18th at 2:00-2:30 PM, ET; 1:00-1:30 PM, PT. This episode will focus on the making of the show, get to meet the Dupree family who are the heart and soul of this community. Take an inside look at the casting process that assembled over 40 characters.

Episode Three: Fashion and Flair will air on Wednesday, Feb. 19th at 2:00-2:30 PM, ET; 1:00-1:30 PM, PT. This episode will show you all the things art, makeup, and wardrobe that make this high fashion world come to life. There is a tour of the wardrobe hair and makeup departments where each character gets its personality status and “story.” Also, you’ll see the amazing wig department which houses over 40 custom-designed wigs.

Episode Four: A Day in the Life airs Thursday, Feb 20th which airs at 2:00-2:30 PM, ET; 1:00-1:30 PM, PT. This episode, the fourth in the series shows the viewer the fast-paced world of Beyond the Gates and the cast getting to tackle the intense filming schedule. The cast can shoot up to 100 pages per day, which takes stamina, skill, and a lot of dedication. Fairmont Crest comes to life, lines get memorized, and performances are under pressure. See the men and women and the steamy scenes and how they get realized.

Episode Five: Sneak Peek and Guest Stars airs on Friday, Feb 21st at 2:00-2:30 PM, ET; 1:00-1:30 PM, PT. This penultimate episode gives you a first look at the explosive and compelling season premiere. Described as “high stakes, deep secrets, and unforgettable drama, this sneak peek sets the stage for a season filled with twists and surprises.” You will hear directly from both cast and directors and what's in store for the residents of Fairmont Crest. If you’ve wondered where you may have seen the actors and actresses before? Get ready to unlock the vault at Entertainment Tonight, and a must-see cameo from ET’s Nichelle Turner as she steps foot onto the illustrious Fairmont Crest grounds and catches a peek at the surprises in store.
