Leslie hasn't counted on Eva being the wrench in her plans on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Leslie is frustrated with Eva’s lack of enthusiasm to turn Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party into an absolute gong show, is this going to force her to move along her schedule?

Queen of disguises on beyond the Gates

Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) can feel it’s so close to being the time she has waited and waited for. Dresses are purchased to attend the anniversary bash, wigs are ready for disguises. All seems to be ready, except Eva. (Ambyr Michelle) It’s not that Eva doesn't believe in what her mom wants for her, to reclaim her birthright and have all the nice shiny things that Ted's other daughter has. Eva is starting to have doubts about how her mom intends to make this happen and suspects that she’s done a lot more too. Eva has worries that once revealed, Ted and Nicole will see that she was equally part of the deception and she’ll be no better off than where she is now, except for being turned into an absolute pariah.

Leslie took a look at Eva's phone while she was busy and saw a message from Nicole saying that Eva was to drop whatever she was doing and come to the country club so as to help whittle down the guest list. Eva made another excuse to leave the house, tending to a cake order and Leslie started to fizz, this wasn't going to do at all she thought as she donned the wig that she used to affect the disguise of Sherry and raced off to the club herself. If Leslie gets caught out in disguise it’s going to undo all the faith in her that Eva has, why risk it? But risk it she did and get caught she did.

Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) were discussing seating arrangements with Eva and sent her to the front desk to get sticky notes, old fashioned but what Nicole wanted. Who should Eva run into at the counter? Her mother was wearing a wig and talking with a funny accent. All Leslie needed was a wide brimmed hat and she could have passed for Carmen SanDiego. Where in the world was her common sense? Eva dragged her mom away from the counter and demanded an explanation and told her getting caught by Ted and Nicole would undo everything. Leslie explained that she was being hired to work the party and then she could slip into her dress and make her grand announcement. Eva managed to get rid of Leslie just in the nick of time, Ted and his wife came looking for Eva thinking she may have run into trouble at the front counter? Why? I’m not sure, it’s not like Eva is Hayley.

Leslie lies to Eva

Ted leads Eva away to discuss things and Nicole is on her phone when Leslie, disguised as Sherry, walks back in and makes enough noise to be discovered by the dead, ensuring Nicole turns and looks at her. After saying how good it was to see her, Nicole asks how Sherry is mentioning the awards dinner she worked. Leslie however tells Nicole she doesn't have much time but there is something she needs to know. It turns out that what she needs to tell Nicole isn't any kind of bombshell rather that she’s leaving town for good, that when Nicole talked her down from the roof she realized that she has purpose in this life and she’s going to see it through. No way it was going to be that easy, Leslie wants everyone in attendance when she goes scorched earth on the Richardsons. Eva however isn't done, and confronts Leslie about not leaving the club when she was asked to. Leslie tells Eva that she did just that, Eva holds up the wig and tells Leslie that she saw her talking to Nicole. Leslie still denies it and Eva goes off at her calling her a diabolical, pathological liar. Leslie puts on her scary face and says how dare she talk to her like that. Will Eva make things right and expose Leslie to Ted and Nicole before it’s too late? Can Eva do anything other than watch this impending train wreck?
