Looking at the trailer, the actor has gone all in with his performance and also serves as an executive producer on the show.
Created by Eric Newman (Narcos, Narcos: Mexico) and Noah Oppenheim (TODAY, Jackie, The Maze Runner), Robert De Niro was ''very hands-on, very involved, read everything at every stage.''
The show follows a former US president who must uncover the truth behind a political conspiracy when the country is hit with a cyberattack.

Is there a release date for Zero Day?
The limited series starring Robert De Niro will premiere on Netflix on February 20, 2025.
In an interview for Netflix's Tudum, creator Eric Newman talked about the show,
“Zero Day is about the aftermath of a devastating cyberattack that kills thousands of people and threatens to push a nation already on the precipice over the edge,”
Co-creator Noah Oppenheim added,
“The show also looks at the cost of power for those who are asked to take on these enormous challenges — what it means for them personally, and what it means for their families.”
What is the plot for Zero Day?
Robert De Niro debuts in a TV series as former US President George Mullen, who is also the head of the Zero Day Commission.
He is tasked to investigate and find the perpetrators responsible for a nationwide cyberattack that has led to chaos, confusion, and many fatalities across the country.
The cyberattack has led to a rampant attack, leading to misinformation in the country and threatening major power brokers, Wall Street, and even the government.
Mullen must uncover the truth before the country takes a major hit, and he also confronts some underlying dark secrets about his past in the process.
