Your Friends & Neighbors: Apple TV+ leaves a sneak peek from its upcoming drama show starring Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm is back on screen and this time he is dressing up as a crook! Apple TV+ recently gave a sneak peek of the upcoming drama series Your Friends & Neighbors. Starring Jon Hamm as a divorced father who is fired from his job, the story follows his character as he robs his rich neighborhood to handle his financial woes. The show will premiere on Apple TV+ on April 11, 2025.

Your Friends & Neighbors is created by Jonathan Tropper, known for Warrior and Banshee. Tropper co-produced the show along with Hamm. The drama series has a stellar star cast including Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Hoon Lee, Lena Hall, Isabel Gravitt, Donovan Colan, and Mark Tallman.

Your Friends & Neighbors will have nine episodes in Season 1, with the first two episodes airing on April 11, followed by weekly episodes till May 30, 2025. The show has already been renewed for Season 2, which is expected to premiere later in 2025.

What isYour Friends & Neighbors about?

The story revolves around Andrew ‘Coop’ Cooper, played by Jon Hamm, a hedge fund manager who is reeling from his divorce and gets fired from his job out of the blue. Andrew starts losing perspective as his life begins to fall apart. He is forced to face the harsh reality that he won’t be able to sustain his lavish lifestyle for long. After he makes impulsive decisions to handle his problem, he is left asking:

“How the hell can everything go so wrong, so fast?”

It is clear that his wife, played by Amanda Peet, and he did not have a ‘friendly divorce’, much further from what their friends commented. Meanwhile, he is having a passionate affair with a common friend, played by Olivia Munn.

His advisor told him that he has about six months until his finances dry up. Without any proper prospects in hand, Andrew decides to take advantage of his uber-rich neighborhood in Westmont Village. As he assesses the luxury items in the houses belonging to his social circle, he states:

"These houses have all this stuff no one would miss for a while, if ever."

When Andrew tries to sell a stolen item, the pawn shop owner quips:

"Rich guy loses his big job, has liquidity problems, turns to petty crime. That's not savvy, That's stupidity"

What follows is missed appointments and lies to cover up his thievery. He comes upon secrets of his neighbors that he is now privy to, thanks to his shady adventures. A trainwreck in waiting, this drama promises action, drama, and lots of twists.

As per the press release by Apple TV+, the synopsis reads:

"After being fired in disgrace, Andrew “Coop” Cooper (Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from his neighbors’ homes in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined."
