Most of the main voice actors are expected to return in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, including:

  • Hudson Thames – Peter Parker / Spider-Man
  • Kari Wahlgren – May Parker
  • Grace Song – Nico Minoru
  • Eugene Byrd – Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone
  • Zeno Robinson – Harry Osborn
  • Colman Domingo – Norman Osborn
  • Hugh Dancy – Otto Octavius / Doc Ock
  • Charlie Cox – Matt Murdock / Daredevil

We don’t yet know who will voice Gwen Stacy, but we’ll update as soon as Marvel announces it. Gwen has been voiced by several actresses before, including:

  • Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Verse movies)
  • Dove Cameron (Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel Rising)
  • Laura Bailey (Marvel’s Spider-Man games)

It’s possible one of them could return, but for now, it’s just a speculation. The alien symbiote seen at the end of Season 1 hints that Venom might appear soon. If Norman Osborn experiments on it, we could see a Venom origin story in Season 2. That would mean:

  • A potential Venom vs. Spider-Man showdown
  • Peter struggles against the symbiote’s influence
  • The introduction of Eddie Brock (if he exists in this universe)

What to expect from the story of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2?

The first season ended with a huge surprise, Peter’s father, Richard Parker, appeared in a short scene. Aunt May visited him in prison, leaving fans with many questions:

  • Why is Richard Parker in prison?
  • What secret is being hidden from Peter?
  • Why wasn’t he mentioned before?

Season 2 may explore Richard Parker’s mysterious past and his connection to Peter’s life. Peter will likely become involved in his father’s story, making the stakes more personal this time. The show might explore how Peter deals with new truths about his family while continuing to grow as Spider-Man.

Norman Osborn, who was Peter’s mentor in season 1, showed signs of becoming a villain. His Project Monolith hinted at his dangerous ambitions, he wanted humanity to be 'revered like gods.' That’s not something a good guy would say.

In the season 1 finale, we saw Otto Octavius inside a prison cell, pinning up a design of his mechanical tentacle suit. This could mean he’s already planning his escape. If he does break out, Spider-Man will have to deal with one of his most dangerous enemies yet.

One of the biggest teases from the finale was a mysterious black blob, a symbiote from another dimension. If this symbiote is anything like Venom, things could get interesting in Season 2. Norman Osborn was seen studying the symbiote, which means he might experiment on it. That never ends well.

Originally, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 was subtitled Sophomore Year, suggesting it would take place during Peter’s second year of high school. While that title has been dropped, it’s still likely that the story will follow Peter as he enters his second year as Spider-Man.

This means:

  • Peter will be more experienced as a superhero
  • He might face bigger challenges than before
  • There could be major character developments

One exciting confirmation is that Gwen Stacy will appear in season 2. Not only that, but we’ll also see her superhero alter-ego, Spider-Gwen (or Spider-Woman). Since Gwen Stacy is a major love interest in the comics, there’s a chance the show might explore a romantic storyline between her and Peter.

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates as Marvel releases new details!
