Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episodes 3, 4, and 5 recap: Doctor Octopus and Tombstone enter the scene

Three new episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man arrived on Disney+ on February 5, 2025. After a two-episode premiere, which introduced the audience to Peter Parker’s world and friends, the new episodes focus on new challenges for the superhero.

From reluctantly agreeing to work with Norman Osborn to accidentally revealing his identity to a close friend, the teenager goes through a rollercoaster ride in Episodes 3, 4, and 5, titled Secret Identity Crisis, Hitting the Big Time, and The Unicorn Unleashed, respectively.

Meanwhile, Lonnie Lincoln is headed on a dangerous path, and an iconic supervillain is helping criminals in the city. Here is the complete recap of Episodes 3, 4, and 5.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 3 recap: Peter Parker teams up with Norman Osborn

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 3 picks up right where the last one left off, with Norman reassuring Peter that his secret about being Spider-Man is safe with him. Despite his initial hesitation, Peter agrees to meet Norman at a fancy restaurant, where the businessman reveals he has been watching the superhero ever since he saved his son, Harry.

To track him down, Norman created the Oscorp internship, hoping to find out who was behind the web-shooters. Norman offers Peter all the resources he needs to be a better hero, but Peter turns him down initially as he is afraid of the risks.

Norman then offers him $1,000, and Peter starts to rethink his decision, especially after seeing how Aunt May has been struggling to pay bills. Meanwhile, Peter’s friend Lonnie Lincoln faces his own problems.

His younger brother, Andre, has gotten involved with a street gang, and to protect him, Lonnie offers to join the gang. Elsewhere, two criminals, Speed Demon and Tarantula, start causing trouble, equipped with high-tech gear.

While Spider-Man struggles to fight them, Norman hacks into his suit and helps him figure out their weaknesses. With his advice, Peter manages to take them down. After the battle, he returns to Oscorp and decides to work with Norman.

Peter Parker accidentally reveals his secret to Harry Osborn

In Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 4, Norman brings up the Sokovia Accords, which require superheroes to register with the government. He reassures Peter that he will take care of any problems with the law.

Norman then shows Peter several new Spider-Man suits. After three failures, Norman finally comes up with a black and white suit that is better suited for the superhero. Meanwhile, Lonnie Lincoln is sent into a dangerous area by gang leader Big Donovan. Donovan wants to use Lonnie to gain an advantage over his rivals.

On the other hand, Peter tries his new suit and attempts to stop a Russian gang involved in a robbery, including villains like Mila Masaryk and Mikael Systevich. While Peter manages to stop the crime, he accidentally unmasks himself in front of Harry Osborn and reveals his identity as Spider-Man.

The episode ends with Mila Masaryk fleeing from prison and delivering stolen tech to Dr. Otto Octavius, or Doctor Octopus. This means Otto is the mastermind behind the rising crimes in the city as he is developing weaponry for villains.

Lonnie Lincoln starts turning into Tombstone in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 5

In Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 5, Peter faces even more challenges as Otto Octavius gives Mila Masaryk a helmet that transforms her into a supervillain called Unicorn. She gets the powers of enhanced strength, speed, and the ability to shoot lasers.

As Harry has become aware of Peter’s secret identity, he wants to join him in his missions. Although Peter is not sure about it, Harry is eager to help. Meanwhile, Lonnie Lincoln is getting more involved with gang life.

He skips football practice and ignores his friend, Pearl Pangan, after Big Donovan calls him to help. After being caught up in a gang war, Lonnie saves Donovan from an attack. Donovan rewards him by giving him the nickname Tombstone, which is the beginning of his villain arc.

On the other hand, Spider-Man faces off against Unicorn and other criminals. During the fight, Mikael Systevich, or Rhino, saves Peter from Unicorn’s laser attack. However, after the combat, he makes it clear to the superhero that he is not an ally.

New episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man are released on Disney+ on Wednesdays.
