The legendary actor and comedian Jason Alexander needs no introduction. With his role in Seinfeld as George Costanza, Jason Alexander became a popular name in the television industry. But did you know that the Daytime Emmy and Tony-winning actor appeared in Young Sheldon?

In Young Sheldon, Jason Alexander plays the character of Mr. Gene Lundy, a drama teacher at Medford High School, an aspiring actor, and a part-time realtor. Mr. Lundy is not just a drama teacher but also a substitute coach for the girls' volleyball team. An aspiring actor who did a few theater stints and a single television commercial, Mr. Lundy featured as a guest character in four episodes of Young Sheldon.

Young Sheldon, a prequel to the cult favorite The Big Bang Theory, is based on the childhood of Sheldon Cooper in Texas. The show balances humor with quirky family drama and showcases Sheldon's close relationship with his family, especially his Meemaw. Among the notable guest stars who appeared on the show were Richard Kind, Melissa Peterman, Emily Osment, Matt Hobby, Craig T. Nelson, and Jason Alexander.

Mr. Lundy first appears in Young Sheldon Season 1 Episode 16, Killer Asteroids, Oklahoma, and a Frizzy Hair Machine. In this episode, Sheldon decides to pursue acting after failing the school science fair. Sheldon is quick to impress his drama teacher, Mr. Lundy, and secures a lead role in the play. However, Mary and George worry about Sheldon playing a female lead in the play. Even though Sheldon initially agrees, he freaks out at the stage, and Mr. Lundy had to play the female lead, Annie.

Mr. Lundy appears as quite an encouraging teacher at Medford High. He appears in Season 2, Episode 6, Seven Deadly Sins and a Small Carl Sagan. Mary Cooper seemed quite pissed about Mr. Lundy taking the lead for the Halloween fundraiser play. As Mr. Lundy improvised the play with intense 'wrath,' Mary looked quite shocked. Mr. Lundy asked Mary to back off from the play, he says.

"I'm gonna need you to back-off just a little bit."

Mary disagrees, as she thinks Mr. Lundy is trying to portray 'sins' as a good thing. After a hilarious banter, a furious Mary left.

Jason Alexander's next appearance was in Young Sheldon Season 3 Episode 19, A House For Sale and Serious Women Stuff. Mr. Lundy appears as a realtor in charge of the sale of Sheldon's neighbor's house. Sheldon grows quite nervous regarding who would buy the house; he keeps on scaring away potential buyers. Meanwhile, Mr. Lundy complains about him to Mary.

In the school, while Lundy is taking a theater class, Sheldon approaches him to know the status of his neighbors' on-sale house. Mr. Lundy gets irritated and asks Sheldon to find a buyer. Pastor Jeff and his wife end up buying the house.

In Young Sheldon Season 4, Episode 10, Cowboy Aerobics and 473 Grease-Free Bolts, Georgie sends his exercising video to Mr. Lundy for his surprising video venture. What followed was a hilarious trail of Mr. Lundy, Georgie, and Meemaw trying to make the business venture successful. Mr. Lundy and Georgia were busy with the choreography when Meemaw arrived and asked for Lundy's contract. She was stunned that 80 percent of the profit went to Lundy. Through adult Sheldon's voice, we know that the exercise video was a hit, but Mr. Lundy's next venture, a music video, was a huge failure, making him lose all his profits.
