Young Sheldon, the spinoff series of the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory, is based on the early life of Jim Parsons’ Sheldon Cooper. The show depicts how a young Sheldon, played by Iain Armitage, is an exceptionally intelligent child.
With the show's popularity, the theme song, Mighty Little Man, also became a fan favorite. The theme song was sung by Steve Burns.
Burns is popularly known for hosting Nick Jr. Blue’s Clues in the late 1990s. He also received a Daytime Emmy nomination for the role.
Mighty Little Man is the opening track of Steve Burns’ first indie rock album, Songs for Dustmites, which was released in 2003.

Who is Steve Burns, the singer of Young Sheldon's theme song

Born in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, Steve Burns was inclined toward music from a young age. He was part of various bands during his high school and college years, such as Nine Pound Truck, Ivys, and the Sudden Impact US.
He also studied theatre on an acting scholarship but dropped out after being discovered by an agent. He then moved to New York to become an actor.
His early roles include voice-acting jobs for ads and was part of the popular ad campaign of ‘Snickers satisfies’.
He gained prominence with his role in Blue’s Clues, which premiered in 1996. Initially, he auditioned for the role thinking that it was a voice-acting role, but he later ended up hosting the show.
Even after quitting Blue’s Clues in 2002, Steve Burns and Donovan Patton, who was the next host, have appeared in a reboot series, Blue’s Clues & You, and later in the movie Blue’s Big City Adventure.
Steve also appeared in shows like Law & Order and Homicide: Life on the Street. He has also appeared in a guest starring role in Young Sheldon, for which he sang the theme song. He played the role of Nathan, a Star Trek fan.

Other than Songs for Dustmites, Steve has also released several other albums. His second album was named Deep Sea Recovery Efforts, which was released in 2009. He worked on this album with his new band called Steve Burns and the Struggle, which included members Steven Drozd and Ryan Smith.
Later in 2016, Steve released a children’s album called Foreverywhere with Steven Drozd, who was also part of the song Mighty Little Man as he played the drums.
Other than his music career, Steve Burns has also appeared in movies. He played the role of a vampire in Netherbeast Incorporated. He also appeared as an astronaut in the movie Christmas On Mars.
