How did the premiere episode of Young, Famous & African unfold?
The successful, opulent, and fashionable cast members of Young, Famous & African have hit the small screens once again. The cast members are here to start afresh and let go of previous rivalries, and the best way to do it is by attending a wedding. Zari invited all the cast members to her wedding, including her ex-husband, Diamond.
Zari's wedding became the place for chatter as the cast arrived. Annie was shocked to receive the invitation and could not keep calm as soon as she arrived at the venue. She had thousands of opinions ranging from the venue, the groom's age, Nadia's stand on a fight from last season, and so on. It seemed that Annie decided to rehash all the drama at the wedding only.
Annie also picked up a bone with Nadia while the wedding was on. Last season, Nadia proclaimed that "Annie is not her friend" and took Swanky's side during a fight between Annie and Swanky. So, Annie thought that was the perfect time to settle things with Nadia. However, despite her differences with Zari and other cast members, she did end up giving a speech at the wedding.
The first episode also featured a serious conversation between Diamond and DJ. DJ expressed that he was expecting Diamond at the wedding, while Diamond mentioned that he "was not invited." Diamond also told the cameras that if had wanted his family back, he could do it with a snap of his fingers.
Later in the episode, Zari and Kayleigh meet to discuss all the gossip from the wedding. Kayleigh and Zari discussed Annie, and Kayleigh expressed that Annie is one of the nicest people she knows. However, she can be "defensive," which makes her a little unreliable with important information.
Fantana and Annie also decided to sit for lunch, where Annie remarked that she wanted to work things out with Zari. Fantana was confused with Zari and Annie's equation and told the cameras:
"I really don't know what Annie and Zari want to do with their "friendship" like, on minute they both have negative things to say about each other. The next minute they want to be friends. I really don't know. It's confusing."
The newbie Kefilwe hosted an event for the group. Annie arrived first, joined by Nadia, and the three started discussing Zari's wedding. Nadia called Annie a "negative" person. Kefilwe sat there "unearned" while the two Young, Famous & African stars went on taking digs at each other.
Young, Famous & African Season 3 is streaming on Netflix now.
