The Masked Singer Season 12 witnessed an intriguing and thrilling quarterfinal episode, as the four finalists battled it out to grab a spot in the final three of the semi-finals. Strawberry Shortcake, Goo, Buffalo, and Wasp performed their best renditions to escape the unmasking and advance to the next round.
However, Goo headed to the elimination after being in the bottom two and losing the "epic smackdown" round to Strawberry Shortcake. After the elimination, the identity of Goo Mask was revealed, and as Judge Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg guessed, under the mask was Kobie Turner, a Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle.
Fans were surprised by Goo's unmasking as well as elimination and took to X, formerly known as Twitter to express their views on the same. One fan took to X and commented:

"Rams DT Kobie Turner was just revealed as “Goo” on “The Masked Singer,” which isn’t a sentence I ever thought I would type. Very cool to see his passion for music show up on such a big stage." commented another fan.
"#GooMask almost made me cry with the song... that's ANOTHER Slay Appreciation Stamp for me! SLAY, Goo, SLAY! #TheMaskedSinger" commented another fan.
"Man #GooMask was truly marvelous tonight. His rendition of “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls was so beautiful, and the fact he’s not a professional singer made that performance that much better. I didn’t know who it was in the beginning…. but I’m confident this is Kobie Turner" another fan wrote, guessing Goo's identity.
"So at least I do know I'm 100% sure who strawberry is on masked singer aj michalka but goo was fantastic I don't know the Rams team but I knew it was a football player . Great job goo you git a great voice" commented another fan.
"I loved the way #GooMask sang “Hold On, I’m Comin’” and the way the #StrawberryShortcakeMask sang “Scars To Your Beautiful”. I want Goo to move on, but the Strawberry Shortcake might’ve taken this one" commented another The Masked Singer fan.

With the quarterfinal being released on December 4, The Masked Singer Season 12 has got its three finalists who will be competing in the semi-finals for the renowned Golden Mask Trophy.
In the latest episode, Goo was unmasked and the reveal surprised the judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora as well as the fans.
Goo, who performed Iris by Goo Goo Dolls ended up at the bottom with Strawberry Shortcake, and both artists battled it out in a newly launched format of "epic smackdown" to snatch the final spot in the top three.
Goo performed Sam and Dave's Hold On, I'm Comin and Strawberry Shortcake performed Alessia Cara's Scars to Your Beautiful.
Strawberry Shortcake won the battle round leading to the reveal of Goo mask, which turned out to be, Kobie Turner, a Defensive Lineman for the Los Angeles Rams. Jenny McCarthy, who guessed the artist right said after Turner's unmasking:
"You know, I love you. I fell in love with your voice."
Ken Jeong also appreciated "The Conductor" and told him that he had an "Outstanding voice".
