"You were quick to judge": Love is Blind star Monica talks to her sister Nicolle about her skepticism

Netflix aired Love is Blind Season 8's latest batch of episodes on February 28, 2025. The tenth episode of the social experiment, Oh Spare Me, featured engaged couples, including:

The latest episode featured couples navigating their daily lives while meeting their partner's friends and family members. Previously, when Monica's family met Joey, her sister, Nicolle, had some concerns and reservations regarding Joey.

Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 10 featured a second meeting between Joey, Monica, and her sister Nicolle. Recalling how her sister was "quick to judge" Joey, she stated:

"When I brought Joey home, you were, like, skeptical. And I feel like you didn't give him a fair shake. Like, me spending all this time getting to know him and knowing he's amazing and his backstory. And he's just kind, and he didn't- - - Granted, you haven't seen me, the family hasn't seen me in over a month, and then I show up with a fiance. It's shocking. So I get that, but also, I feel like you were quick to judge. That was frustrating to me."

Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 10: Joey and Monica meet her sister, Nicolle - Photoshoot, friendly conversations, and an apology

The tenth episode of the reality show featured Monica's sister, Nicolle, a photographer, meeting her and Joey. When Nicolle greeted them as "clients" in a funny way, Monica stated that she was a photographer.

"She does all sorts of photo shoots. She offered to give us, as a gift, an engagement photo shoot with Joey and I, so that was really nice," confessed Monica.

Nicolle was surprised when Joey mentioned he never had any professional photos taken. She then suggested poses to the newly engaged couple and took many pictures. They all had a lot of fun during the shoot.

Between the shoot, Monica confessed to the cameras about talking to her sister "several times."

"I've talked to Nicolle several times since the first family meeting with Joey. And at first, I was, like, pretty angry with her. But Joey's becoming a very prominent, important person in my life, so they need to get along, and they need to be friends and, like, have a good relationship. That's just how it needs to be, period," shared Monica.

After the photoshoot, Monica voiced her concerns and told her sister how she was "too quick" to judge Joey when they met him for the first time. Love is Blind star also stated that Nicolle didn't give Joey a "fair shake" at knowing him.

Seeing how Monica was concerned, Nicolle stated that she felt like Monica came home with this "random dude." She felt like they were strangers. Joey was a stranger to her, to which he also agreed.

Nicolle expressed how she had her heart on her "sleeve" and that it was "not nice."

"So, I'm sorry," stated Nicolle.

While Joey appreciated the apology, Nicolle assured him that he did nothing wrong. In response, Love is Blind star Joey also assured her that his intentions have always been "pure." Further, they chatted more about how Joey and Monica met through the social experiment and how Joey has a "ton of energy."
