After five epic seasons, Yellowstone might come to an end on December 15, 2024, with the release of the 14th and final episode of season 5. The neo-Western drama has consistently topped the viewership charts, becoming one of the most popular television shows.
In the fifth season, the narrative has shifted to the war between the Dutton siblings Beth and Jamie, following the death of their father, John. While Jamie is adamant about inheriting the Dutton ranch, Beth wants revenge on him for being involved in John’s murder.
Yellowstone season 5 episode 14 is expected to be an action-packed conclusion to the rivalry. At the same time, the episode might also serve as the series finale, as it was earlier announced the show would end with the fifth season. However, there have been reports about a potential season 6 in the last few months.

What to expect from Yellowstone season 5 episode 14?
The season finale might give a satisfying conclusion to the Duttons’ story, while also leaving room for a probable sixth season. Paramount attached a teaser for the finale with the penultimate episode last week, which shows the family saying an emotional goodbye to John Dutton by organizing his funeral.
Meanwhile, Beth is grieving the loss of her father, and Rip, Kayce, and Lloyd carry John’s remains in a casket. Beth is furious and wants to kill Jamie at any cost. She gets support from John’s ally Thomas Rainwater, who says, “I made a promise to your father once. Your people are buried in that land and so are mine.”
Kayce also breaks down at the funeral while Monica hugs him. On the other hand, Rip is ready for some action as he burns down a car, hinting at a deadly ending to the struggle between the Duttons.
What happened in Yellowstone season 5 episode 13?
In the previous episode, Give The World Away, the Dutton family continued to fight to save their ranch. The episode began with a heartfelt memorial following the deaths of John Dutton and ranch hand Colby.
Meanwhile, Beth worked to raise funds for the ranch by auctioning off nearly everything, including horses and cattle, leaving the Duttons with $30 million. However, this could sustain the ranch for only a year.
Rip offered long-time ranch hand Lloyd a permanent position at the ranch, while other cowboys prepared to leave, including Teeter. Kayce, too, developed a bold plan to save the ranch. He came up with the example of selling a $300,000 car for $1 to lower taxes.
Beth eventually realized that Kayce meant they should find someone willing to buy the ranch for a minimal price. Kayce suggested they could sell the land to Chief Thomas Rainwater. This could return the land to its original stewards.
As he worked to finalize his plan, Kayce told Monica that they would leave the Yellowstone once the ranch was secured. At the same time, Jamie sought legal advice from his ex, Christina, as the police investigated his ties to Sarah Atwood. The episode ended with growing tensions, setting the stage for an exciting finale.
