Yellowstone fans spotted an easter egg in 1923 Season 2 latest episodes, and it is none other than the infamous train station from the parent series.

Fans of the original show might know, but the Yellowstone train station is an important location for the series. It is located on the Montana-Wyoming border and has no inhabitants. This particular detail made it ideal for the Dutton family to make it their personal graveyard.

Many Dutton enemies, including Rowdy, Chester Spears, Garrett Randall, and many more, have ended up dead at the train station, with no consequences for the family.

1923 Season 2 finally revealed the origin story and the first victim of Yellowstone train station, who is none other than Christy, Donald Whitfield's s*x worker.

More on the Yellowstone train station in 1923 Season 2 in our story.

1923 Season 2 revealed the origin story of Yellowstone’s Train Station

Yellowstone's train station is an iconic location for the fans of the parent series, and 1923 Season 2 just revealed its origin story, which expanded on the original series lore.

Fans got a glimpse of how the Duttons might have come across the train station, which eventually became their own graveyard during the show's five-season run.

What is interesting is that in Episode 4, it is not the Duttons but their primary antagonist in 1923 Season 2, Donald Whitfield, who discovers this train station. While going through the zoning maps of the area, he came across this particular patch of land on the Montana-Wyoming border with no inhabitants.

And the devil that Whitfield is, he immediately connects the dots and deduces that the spot would make a perfect spot to bury any crime, and the person would walk away free with zero consequences.

Coincidentally, he immediately got to test his theory after Lindy accidentally strangled Christy too hard during s*x, and Donald ordered Banner to dispose of her body at the train station, making her the very first victim of the infamous Yellowstone location.

The fact that Donald Whitfield, not one of the Duttons, first discovered this location makes its lore even more interesting. It would be interesting to see how the family learned about it and how many more victims will end up dead here in Season 2 and upcoming Yellowstone spin-offs.

Is Donald Whitfield headed towards the same fate as Jamie Dutton in 1923 Season 2?

The Yellowstone train station had a full circle moment in the Season 5 finale after its primary antagonist, Jamie Dutton, ended up dead in the location in the series finale.

After Beth promised to avenge John Dutton on his grave, she was adamant about killing her step-brother for his involvement in the Dutton patriarch's murder. In the Yellowstone Season 5 finale, she stabs him multiple times in the chest, and Rip and Lloyd finally dispose of his body in their personal graveyard, making Jamie the last person to be tossed on the train station (as of now).

Something about Donald discovering the location and his ongoing war with the Duttons hints that he might also end up at the train station after he loses the war against them. This might very well be the beginning of the Dutton tradition of disposing of their dead bodies at the iconic location, which passed on to the future generations.
