Yellowjackets Season 3 Release schedule: Every episode and when do they drop

Paramount+'s Yellowjackets Season 3 is finally on its way. The survival-thriller drama, which debuted in 2021, was renewed for Season 3 in 2022, but after the Hollywood Writers' Strike in 2023, it got delayed. However, it will finally hit your screens on Valentine's Day.

The show follows a female soccer team in two timelines. One in the past (1996), where the team gets stranded in the wilderness after their plane crashes, and some team members barely make it out alive. The other is set in the present, 25 years later, where the wilderness is back to haunt the survivors.

Season 2 saw Natalie becoming the group's leader in 1996, and Coach Ben might not be who he appears to be, as it is hinted that he might have locked the girls in.

Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, leaving Natalie possibly dead in the present timeline. After Lottie suggests that they will have to perform another sacrificial ritual, Misty accidentally kills Natalie.

Yellowjackets Season 3 will see the surviving cast members return, including Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher and Elijah Wood.

Yellowjackets Season 3 release schedule

Season 3 will debut on Paramount+ with Showtime on February 14, 2025, with a double episode. Episodes 1 and 2 will be released on the same day, and while there is no release date for future episodes yet, it will follow the weekly release pattern, similar to the previous seasons.

Season 3's first two episodes will also be available on the Paramount+ Showtime TV channel on February 16, 2025, at 9 pm EST/8 pm CST.

Season 1 debuted on November 14, 2021, with weekly releases until January 16, 2022, and Season 2 followed a similar pattern, airing from March 24 to May 26, 2023. Season 3 is expected to follow the same release schedule.

What to expect from Yellowjackets Season 3?

Creator Ashley Lyle revealed that Season 3 will have a small time jump in both timelines, which will be an interesting element. We might get to see what happened during that time off-screen through the characters.

As is typical of the show, there are very few details about Season 3, and the trailer does not reveal much. However, the trailer establishes that “The past will come back to haunt you,” and the survivors continue to fight it in Season 3 as well.

In addition, the trailer also shows an unidentified mysterious figure in the woods, wearing the show's cannibalism mask, which might hint at a new danger for the group. Who is the unknown person—a friend or a foe? And how will they come into play in Season 3?

The trailer also offered the first glimpse of Hilary Swank, who was confirmed to join the cast in Season 3, but her character has not yet been disclosed. She appears bloody and afraid, like all the other characters in the show.

Joining Swank are three other cast members who will make their debut in Season 3. These include Anisa Harris and Silvana Estifanos as Robin and Britt, respectively, new members of the soccer team, and Joel McHale in an undisclosed role.
