Showtime's psychological thriller, Yellowjackets came back in February 2025 with Season 3. It delves deeper into the consequences of a terrifying plane crash which led to a women's soccer team having to survive the wilderness in 1996.

What's interesting about the TV series is how it balances the plot between past and present. Yellowjackets delves into how the group survives in the hostile environment alongside their current adult lives.

Their teen experience has been terrorizing them every single day. Season 3 finds the survivors entering summer after enduring a horrific winter. A time that should promise hope but instead, brings new tension and secrets beneath.

Now that winter is behind, the group is seen engaging in various activities to distract themselves. However, mistrust and deception soon take place as they find it hard to pretend nothing's wrong.

Meanwhile, in the present, they are forced to confront unspoken truths about each other. In the latest Season 3 episode, viewers are offered a terrifying shift as Lottie takes an axe to Edwin's head.

This brutal act explains that the teenagers aren't just survivors now. They've transformed into hunters and life has never been this difficult to endure.

One of the most shocking parts of Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 7 "Croak" is when s Lottie commits the first cold-blooded murder. She picks up an axe and kills Edwin, believing that outsiders aren't allowed in the group.

However, one thing is clear. It's not just the supernatural elements, but the psychological deterioration which has become the real horror in Season 3. While Edward gets killed, the group tracks down Hannah and Kodi remains at large.

The present-day road trip in Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 7

While things are getting wild in the past, Shauna, Van, Tai, and Misty embark on a road trip in the present time. However, it doesn't look like a fun reunion due to the tense and eerie atmosphere.

As the trip begins, they engage in a deep conversation during which Tai opens up about some dark, supernatural force controlling her actions. Soon, Van starts throwing up blood, igniting fear and anxiety among the women.

They immediately take her to the hospital and put their mysterious plan (likely confront or kill Hannah's daughter Alex) on pause for some time. But the break doesn't last long as Shauna wants to waste no time. She abandons the group and sets out on an unknown destination with a deadly purpose in mind.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 7 isn't just about how brutal the teenagers became in the wilderness, but also about the consequences faced by the adults in the present. Before Van, Tai, and Misty join Shauna for the road trip, Shauna is seen hearing a mysterious tape from Hannah to her daughter, Alex.

Believing Alex is behind it, the women decide to confront her but Van's medical emergency doesn't allow them to accompany Shauna. As the episode ends, Shauna is seen parking outside a house, clutching a knife, and watching people inside.

This chilling moment suggests Shauna is about to kill Alex to tie up loose ends from the past. Not to forget that we've never seen teenage Shauna killing anyone in the wilderness timeline. So, is she trying to erase all evidence, or is something even darker at play?

Don't forget to watch the upcoming episode on March 28 on Paramount+ or on March 30 on Showtime.
