Events that unfolded in the present in Yellowjackets Season 3, Episode 6

The episode witnesses Sadecki's family on vacation where Shauna, as a citizen detective, gets to know about Lottie's death, which she thinks is not a death but a murder. Jeff has no idea about the same. Callie overhears their conversation, discussing that Lottie's death is probably a murder. This makes Callie recall a cassette that she found during Episode 1 and now thinks is somehow connected with Lottie's death.

The Sadecki leaves the hotel to be safe and tries to play the cassette through Van's DAT tape. In the audio clip, they hear an audio clip of girls screaming. Van reveals that those who know about the tape are dead, except for them. Callie attempts to record their conversation by keeping his mobile phone in Shauna's purse. This gains Shauna's attention, and she thinks of teaching Callie a lesson about this.

Van discovers that Taissa is acting strangely as she has lost her family, Lottie, and her career. She jokes about Shauna being stressed about a silly tape and overthinking it. Van witnesses Tai, an alter-personality that emerges when Taissa is under stress, leading her to sleepwalk, act violently, and engage in eerie, trance-like behaviors.
