MTV released The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras Episode 17 on December 18, 2024. The latest episode of the competition show featured the remaining participants competing against each other to advance further.
The 17th episode featured the Fortress Bricks challenge. For that, competitors were supposed to go to the top of the Spanish fortress and get 40 bricks carried down, with only two bricks allowed at a time. The bricks were to be arranged to complete a puzzle; whoever did that the fastest would win.
The task featured female contestants, including Jenny West, Rachel Robinson, and Cara Maria Sorbello. The Fortress Bricks task resulted in Jenny winning despite facing some issues due to her asthma.
On the other hand, Cara Maria came in second, but with a three-minute time penalty, she came last. Tori went to elimination to face either Cara Maria or Rachel.
However, after seeing Jenny win on The Challenge 40, some fans took to social media platform X to share their views. Fans accused the producers of making "mistakes," stating that Jenny's puzzle was not correctly solved and she placed the bricks in the wrong sequence.
One of the fans commented on X:
