Shark Tank season 16, episode 8 kicked off on January 17, 2025, and brought 4 new pitches to the episode. One of them was by Bro Glo founders - Jaron, Tom, and Joe. They had made a tanning product suitable for pale white men if they wanted a natural tan.

The three founders introduced their product to the sharks and started with a story. He revealed that when he was on a honeymoon with his wife, who had a perfect tan while he looked pale compared to her, the locals gave him a nickname, "mayonnaise."

This started his journey to explore tanning products but soon found out that these were mostly made for women. Some left him orange and blotchy and left tan streaks on the sheets.

Thus, he created Bro Glo, a "self-tanner for the boys." By the end of their Shark Tank pitch and negotiations, the founders accepted Mark's offer. Jaron expressed after the pitch by saying,

"I'm just overrun with emotion. We worked nights and weekends, and Tommy's working. It was very, very difficult. There was a lot of sacrifices."

Shark Tank Season 16 - Bro Glo pitches their product to the sharks

Jaron, one of the Bro Glo founders, asked for $200,000 for 5% interest in their business on Shark Tank. Talking about his product to the sharks, Jaron claimed,

"It's lightweight, it goes on clear, and it doesn't leave you feeling all sticky or greasy! And it's so easy to use. Even a bro can do it. So which one of you sharks wants to be a bro and help this bro finish his bro glo tan?"

To display the effectiveness of Bro Glo, Jaron even removed his shirt where one half was his natural skin and the other was tanned by the product. The official bio for Bro Glo on their website reads,

"Lightweight, not greasy or sticky, easy and quick to apply, and leaves you with a natural-looking tan - like you've been hitting the ole' wooden stick and knockdown wedges with the boys all day. It's everything a bro tanner should be plus some. It's time to take the plunge and join the bro tan revolution."

Even the customers have been satisfied with Bro Glo and appreciated its water-based formula and ease of application.

On Shark Tank, Jaron mentioned that they had launched Bro Glo in 2021 and, just in a year, were able to make a profit of $107,000. The second year was even more favorable, with them making about $482,000. The third year of their business was when they crossed the million-dollar mark and made $3.1 million in sales.

This assured the sharks on Shark Tank that the product was breaking the markets and started a bidding war amongst themselves. Lori offered them $100,000 cash and a $100,000 loan for a 10% stake in the company. She will also have a 50-cent royalty until the $200,000 has been paid back to her.

Mark and Daniel on Shark Tank offered almost a similar deal. Mark came in with $200,000 for a 10% stake, and Daniel an 8% stake. Despite being similar, the founders accepted Mark's deal.

On their official Instagram handle, Bro Glo shared behind-the-scenes footage of them getting ready to pitch the product to the sharks. They have employed the help of a special candidate in their family: their dog, Petey.

Jaron is having fun with him while applying the tanner to himself. He claims that the product doesn't smell at all and is lightweight.

Shark Tank Season 16 airs on ABC on Fridays at 8 PM Eastern Time.
