"Words are being put into my mouth" - Southern Charm star JT breaks silence over the Venita controversy 

The most recent episode of Southern Charm saw JT being the target of Ryan's accusations and this dragged Venita in the middle of it all. Even Leva was shocked and immediately went over to confront JT as she couldn't believe the allegations.

In season 10 episode 14, the penultimate entry of this installment, newbie Ryan was seen stirring up drama between JT and Venita. The two men share the same barber; thus, Ryan learns what JT has been telling him about his thing with Venita.

He claimed to her that JT said "some black girl" was trying to ruin his new relationship with Ally by "coming" at him. This deeply hurt her who also told Leva. However shocked, Leva could not believe it all and thus, went up straight to him to confront about the same.

JT denied ever making "racist" remarks towards her and even called up the barber in front of her to reveal the truth which ended up in his court. Frustrated with Ryan, as well as the other Southern Charm stars who had tried to throw him under the bus over false rumors like these, he said:

"I’m so sorry that she thinks this, but no. This is yet another time that words are being put in my mouth. I have nothing but respect for Venita.”

Southern Charm star JT clears the air with Venita over accusations made by Ryan

At the beginning of the Southern Charm episode, Venita talked to Leva about the whole situation and explained what Ryan had said to her. This prompted Leva to go talk to JT about it. He and Venita were visibly very close during the entire season.

However, the relationship got distanced because JT got in a relationship with Ally and Venita did not want to come in between that. But the two still have some chemistry and this is what JT claims to be talking to with his barber.

As soon as Leva revealed what had happened, JT was shocked and said that Ryan was trying to portray him as a "racist" which he is not. He said that he felt hurt that Venita felt "used" by him after what she heard.

JT instantly rang up the barber to clear everything to ensure he did not say anything like that. The barber apologized and said that instead of saying "some Black girl," he had said "a cute Black girl."

He said:

"You know, I may have said it because I was not articulate, you know? If it was off, something that I relayed, like, I’m so sorry.”

This made JT even angrier at Ryan and he ranted to Leva about him. He then called Venita and said that he had no idea how much it was hurting her but what Ryan said was false. He also claimed to have nothing but respect for her.

He then also revealed about talking to the barber and how he also confirmed in front of Leva that the rumors were fake. He continued to call everyone "snakes" for coming at him for no reason at all.

Ryan has joined the cast only this Southern Charm season and for him to cause drama felt to fans as if he was trying to get more screen time. Calling him a psychopath, JT said:

"This is sick, man. This motherf— just called me [racist] and his husband is also Black. This has all the looks of a f—ing target job by a psychopath.”
