Daredevil: Born Again's midseason trailer was released online on March 25, 2025, before the fifth and sixth episodes of the season were released. In that trailer, there were some scenes from the fifth and sixth episodes, as well as those from episodes yet to be released. There are a lot of exciting fight scenes, including one between Daredevil and some cops or some kind of security force.

It's not the fight itself that's interesting but rather the location in which the fight is taking place. The said scuffle occurs in Matt Murdock's swanky house that has been his abode since the first episode of Born Again. This has fans theorizing whether Fisk will maliciously out Daredevil's secret identity as Matt Murdock in an upcoming episode.

Speculatively, yes. Wilson Fisk has known that Matt Murdock and Daredevil are one and the same since the third season, which was released back in 2018. Wilson may manipulate public opinion against Daredevil and out his secret identity. Fisk may use his recently political position of the mayor and send his anti-vigilante task force after Matt. In fact, Kingpin does something similar in the comics, too.

For instance, in the comic book Civil War crossover, Daredevil is a part of the anti-registration side led by Captain America. However, it is not Matt Murdock who is wearing the costume in the comic. Instead, it is Danny Rand who is acting on Matt's behalf.

Somewhere before or after the event, an imprisoned Fisk, as an act of revenge, publicly outs Matt's secret that he learned in Daredevil: Born Again, the 1986 comic (which the current season shares its title with). Thus, Fisk, in the current season, may regard Murdock as a bigger threat than Muse and direct the state apparatus to go hunt Murdock down.

This will force Matt to collaborate with the man he never thought he needed the help of, Frank Castle.

The trailer hints at a Punisher-Daredevil team-up:

One of the most exciting glimpses in the Daredevil: Born Again midseason trailer was the team-up between Daredevil and the Punisher. Frank was introduced almost a decade ago in the second season of the Netflix series. In that season, The Punisher and Daredevil have a rather contentious relationship because Matt believes in redemption, and Frank believes in executing criminals.

However, despite their disagreement, there seems to be some sort of respect for each other between the two. However, Born Again set up an important plot point for Frank Castle this season: the use of his skull symbol by the cops, something that is also seen in the real world. The assailant who shot Hector Ayala wore the Punisher skull, and we also saw several cops across the show tattooing that skull.

In the sixth episode, we see Kingpin assemble a team of violent, untrustworthy police officers to be part of his anti-vigilante task force. Thus, we can expect that these cops are the ones breaking into Matt's home in the trailer. A disillusioned Frank Castle may come to help Daredevil to confront these cops who have corrupted his skull symbol.
