Will Trent Season 3 Episode 12 recap: Will struggles with guilt as a new case arrives
Will Trent Season 3 Episode 12 opens with the GBI agent still thinking about Marco's death. While it was a clean shoot, Will cannot deny the fact that the bullet was from his gun and that Marco was just a 14-year-old lad.
After the traumatic event, Will Trent is forced into a mandatory therapy session where he clashes with his psychologist. He denies discussing his emotions using the feel wheel and accuses the therapist that he's failing to do his job.
But in reality, Will has been skipping his medicines, which is adding to his restlessness. His boss, Amanda, has also been trying to keep Will from isolating himself, but he refuses to receive any help.
Meanwhile, a new case emerges when two women, Jade and Aster, are attacked while escaping through the woods. Aster was driving Jade, but a bullet fired through the truck’s rear window killed her instantly.
Polaski and Michael arrive at the crime scene and notice that the truck's VIN has been erased, and there are missing plates as well. Later, it was revealed that Aster worked as a kindergarten teacher.
The investigation continues in the Will Trent Season 3 episode, and the agents learn that Jade has been dealing with infertility. She had also suddenly stopped all contact with her sister for unknown reasons.
The case then takes a disturbing turn when investigators discover a pattern. Several people connected to Jade and Aster, along with the truck's owner, had cut ties with their families in a strange way.
They all sent cold, distant letters before dying under mysterious circumstances. The one thing they all had in common? A secretive wellness group called the Olas Collective.

Will takes on a fake identity to learn more about the mysterious wellness retreat

As the Will Trent Season 3 episode goes on, the GBI agent goes under the alias "Bill Morales" and visits a session conducted by Rain Woods, the mysterious head of Olas Collective, which has a cult-like atmosphere. A father then starts venting self-hatred after losing his daughter.
Rather than guiding him in the right direction, Woods tells him to accept the hate. Will Trent looks at the situation and realizes that the group has a significant impact on the members, something that is really dangerous.
Meanwhile, Angie and Ormewood investigate Aster’s ties to Olas and find out the financial links between Aster, Jade, and a deceased truck owner, Dermot. Soon, Dermot's friend Kyle shows up to the agents and reveals that his friend had been paranoid before his death, and even his phone was tapped.
Later, a shootout erupts at the Olas' property, and Angie and Ormewood find a teenage girl, Finn, with a gun. They took her to GBI, where it was confirmed that Finn's gun wasn't used in killing Aster. Rain Woods then shows up with a baby and refuses to answer any questions asked by the agents.
Another startling truth emerges —Jade had recently given birth, and Faith and Angie suspect the baby Rain is carrying might actually be hers. However, Woods is breastfeeding the baby, which makes this case even more complicated.
Will Trent is also present during the discussion and takes a huge risk. He tells the agents that he went to Woods' session and now wants to go fully undercover. He asks Amanda to reinstate his desk duty, which concerns everyone, especially Angie.
Initially, Amanda is against Will's decision but eventually agrees and warns him to check in within 48 hours. If Will doesn't respond, the GBI chief will send a drone to track him down in the woods.
Marion steps away from Will in Will Trent Season 3 Episode 12
Before Will takes on the deadly mission, he goes for dinner with Marion. Will explains the case, and Marion is deeply concerned. However, the GBI agent doesn't seem as worried as his partner.
Marion suggests they should take a break from their relationship. They have faced several problems, and keeping their distance for some time seems to be the right decision.
As for Angie, she turns to Seth for intimacy as their relationship grows. The episode comes to an end with Will Trent taking a risky step at the Olas Collective. He got an invitation to the retreat through his fake story and identity.
Before boarding the bus, everyone's phone, including Will's, is taken away. They are blindfolded, adding to the mystery of what this cult-like group does.
