Will there be The White Lotus Season 4? What we know so far

It is time to return to The White Lotus Resort. Mike White's critical and popularly acclaimed series, The White Lotus, aired its season 3 premiere on February 16, 2025. However, just weeks before the first episode of the third season was aired, HBO renewed the anthology series for a fourth season. Therefore, fans can look forward to The White Lotus Season 4 in the next few years.

Details for The White Lotus Season 4 are next to scarce as it is too early in development. The cast and location aren't clear yet, or if any character from the latest season be a part of the fourth. However, we do know that the next season probably won't be the last. Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO told Deadline during the Season 3 premiere, about creator Mike White's plans:

"I imagine he is going to go beyond four. He hasn’t confirmed it, but I think he has more to say than just one more season."

However, it should be noted that Orsi did not officially confirm that The White Lotus would go further than season four.

Will there be a The White Lotus Season 4?

Roughly three weeks before the airing date of the first episode of the third season of the anthology series, HBO officially confirmed The White Lotus Season 4. During the premiere event of the third season, HBO executive Francesca Orsi also teased fans the possibility of the show going further than four seasons. However, it is important to note that later seasons are not officially confirmed yet.

Orsi also revealed that the production team is currently scouting for shooting locations but nothing has been officially confirmed. Orsi did have this to tease fans about the location, though:

“We’re going on some locations scouting in the next couple of weeks, so we’ll know soon. I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe.”

However, right after giving the above quote, she hedged her previous statement by telling the Deadline reporter that Europe was the likely choice for shooting location. Orsi said:

“some countries on the map that we talked about, but nothing to report on until they actually go locations scouting.”

For now, we just know that The White Lotus Season 4 will be released on HBO in the next few years. We can be sure that the upcoming season will be shot in a Four Seasons chain, like the three seasons so far. Since the beginning, the makers of the HBO series have been working with the popular luxury hotel chain.

Since it is an anthology series, most of the cast from the current season will not return for the next one, ensuring a fresh main cast. Season 3 features actors like Jason Issacs, Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, and Carrie Coon, among others.
