Disney+ Star Wars: Skeleton Crew follows four children struggling to find their home and are lost in space. Skeleton Crew has suggested a lot of Easter eggs like in episode 3 when Alderaan is mentioned, that resonates with fans familiar with the broader Star Wars lore. Alderaan, known for its destruction by the Death Star under Palpatine's command, represents the devastating consequences of the Sith's rise to power.

Several episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew give a nod to its ancient war history such as references to the Old Republic and the buried Jedi temples. This suggests something insidious lurking beneath the tacky spas. In the previous episodes, Captain Rennod's secret lair is found on the planet while Jod discovers some runes carved on the wall in Sith language suggesting a connection between the planet Lanupa with Sith. The Skeleton Crew majorly focuses on the story of the pirates but are these deliberate narrative choices to create a foundation for the Sith resurgence?

In Episode 5 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a new planet is added- Lanupa. As SM-33 suggests the planet is much more terrifying with a history of battles. Various Sith ruins are found which often symbolize ancient Sith rituals, knowledge, or hidden power. Therefore, it is speculated that this underbelly might also still exist beneath the beautiful world of the Spa that is evident in the show.

The Sith are known for secretive manipulation of the elites, military, politicians, and other high-ranking people of the society just like it appears in Lanupa. Sith's approach is rooted in the philosophy of control and domination by seeping into the galaxy's power structure.

An additional subtle indication is the runes Jod discovers carved on the wall in the Sith language Ur-Kittat. Therefore implying the planet's ancient history is connected to the Sith themselves. The question arises if the planet is connected with the Sith or is influenced by their teachings.

In Star Wars: Skeleton Crew the Banking Clan also aids the Sith Resurgence.

The InterGalactic Banking Clan is also revealed to be in Lanupa in episode 5 of Skeleton Crew, therefore suggesting it is a deliberate narrative choice. Sith are known for their manipulation of financial institutions. This is shown evidently in Star Wars: The Clone Wars when they funded both sides in order to destabilize the galaxy. Therefore, the presence of the Banking Clan on Lanupa hints at potential Sith manipulation.

Sith's 'grand plan' centuries ago was to destroy the Jedi and Republic to ensure Sith's rule in the galaxy. The planet's ancient history suggests that there are some Sith connections in Lanupa, especially when the planet's history is tied to the galaxy's most popular pirate captain Rennod. Something insidious is lurking on the planet which could also mean the Sith resurgence. However, this is only a speculation until the show comes up with anything substantial.

Moreover, the show shows some wealth polarities and exploration which is an element of Sith's manipulation.

The upcoming Star Wars movie rumored to be titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order is a sequel that already saw the resurgence of Sith. Therefore, Lanupa in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew could be the foundation to lay another Sith plot entirely, and some more interesting interwoven stories shaping the future of the galaxy.
