Yes, The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will be the last and final season of the series. The final episode will bring all of our superhero characters and their timeline to a definitive conclusion. Created by Steve Backman and developed by Jeremy Slater, The Umbrella Academy is based on the comic book by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. With Season 4, the show's creators have given their own twist to how the unfinished storyline in the comics pan out.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 has provided the ultimate ending for all the characters belonging to the dysfunctional Hargreeves family. Season 4 of the show catches up with the siblings in Reginald’s created timeline, which is six years after the events in season 3 take place, and most of our heroes have lost their supernatural capabilities.

Numerous events take place, one of the most important being Sy Grossman's kidnapping of Viktor (Elliot Page) to get the Hargreeves siblings to find his daughter Jennifer. The siblings, who initially lost their powers, regain them thanks to a jar of marigold still in Sy's possession, but things aren't as simple as they look. As the season progresses, we realize that the characters aren't exactly who we think they are, and every relic found is a well-orchestrated plan by Abigail.

Despite the separation at the beginning of the season, the siblings come together without their psychic abilities when Viktor is kidnapped by Sy Grossman. The siblings realize that Sy Grossman's daughter, Jennifer, is under Reginald's protection away from the Keepers, who want to perform an event called "The Cleanse" that they believe will help them restore the original timeline.

However, it is later revealed that Jennifer never knew anyone named Sy Grossman. Instead, Sy was never alive during the entirety of The Umbrella Academy season 4. It was Abigail who impersonated him so that she could continue to meet with the Hargreeves siblings without arousing the suspicion of Reginald or his men.

Abigail's impersonation of a Keeper allows her to keep a bottle of marigold because if the actual Keepers had gotten hold of it, it would be impossible for the Hargreeves to find it. Abigail always knew that one of the siblings would inject the relic from another timeline to regain their powers.

Did the Hargreeves siblings restore the original timeline in the final season of The Umbrella Academy?

Yes, the Hargreeves siblings manage to restore the original timeline. Infact, all the characters go back to their normal lives by the end of the sixth episode.

The five Hargreeves siblings realize that they must die to stop the apocalypse, as they find themselves at the center of all the problems that arise. They realise they should never have existed in the first place. They were created by a substance called the Marigold, released by their adoptive father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves.

Abigail had created both marigold and durango, which canceled each other out, and their combination was capable of destroying the entire existence of life. Ben and Jennifer bonded together for the Cleanse to take form. The monster-like creature is strong enough to consume the entire world.

To stop the Cleanse and save the timeline, the Hargreeves siblings had to be consumed by the fleshy monster. Only by allowing them to perish could everything return to normal. However, it would mean no one would ever remember them or their sacrifice and the events that have unfolded until now. This also leads to the end of Reginald and his wife Abigail.
