Netflix premiered all eight episodes of Liz Feldman’s newest show, No Good Deed, on December 12, 2024. The audience has received the show quite enthusiastically, and murmurs about No Good Deed Season 2 have already started.

Coming from the creator of another Netflix hit series, Dead to Me, No Good Deed stars Lisa Kurdrow and Ray Romano as a couple determined to sell their LA home after a tragedy changed their lives three years back.

Season 1 of No Good Deed ties up all the questions that arise in the series, and the finale also reveals the identity of the killer. However, while the central mystery is solved, another couple, Dennis (O-T Fagbenle) and Carla (Teyonah Parris), who are building their dream home on the place where JD and Margo's burnt house stood, are shown to be harboring a huge secret of their own, which upon coming out, could disrupt their relationship.

Netflix generally decides on the renewal of a series based on audience response, and given the kind of appreciation that No Good Deeds has received, it is likely for the series to be renewed, and the unexplored secret between Dennis and Carla only enhances the possibility of it.

While there is no official update from Netflix regarding another No Good Deed Season 2, let us now explore what Liz Feldman has to say about the show’s renewal.

Will there be a No Good Deed Season 2?

Talking about the possibilities of No Good Deed Season 2, Liz Feldman told TV Insider,

“I have a very clear idea of what I want to do for Season 2. And I can’t wait to get into it with Netflix.”

Judging by the creator’s response, there seems to be a clear chance of No Good Deed Season 2 happening despite no confirmation from Netflix. However, when asked about her specific plans regarding the second season, in case it happens, Feldman refused to give any clear answers. While interviewing with Tudum, she said,

“I want viewers to be thinking about where the Morgans are. I leave my favorite shows wondering about [the characters] — asking myself questions, [mentally] writing the rest of the story myself. And I want to encourage people to do that.”

This leaves room for a lot of imagination and the possibility of a completely different storyline for the next season.

How did No Good Deed Season 1 end?

No Good Deed Season 1 neatly wrapped up the mystery it focused on right from the first episode. It is ultimately revealed that contrary to what Emily thought, it was actually Margo who had shot and killed Jacob. This resolution of this three-year-old mystery that was shown to haunt the Morgans finally brings them closer as a family.

The house goes to Leslie and Sarah, and the couple is visibly dedicated to their new home. Margo and JD’s house burns down, and that lot is taken by Dennis and Carla, who are to build their own house on that spot.

Margo’s fate is also revealed in a six-month fast-forward, where she is shown to be separated from JD, her husband. She also has scars from the burning accident on her face and is probably serving jail time as well.

No Good Deed can be streamed on Netflix.
