Superman & Lois fans are in for a treat as the final episodes of Season 4 are teasing something massive. Lex Luthor is finally donning his iconic Lexosuit.
The show has been leading us on an exhilarating journey, slowly building towards this epic showdown between Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. Since the Arrowverse is wrapping up its run, it is going to be really intense.
In Episode 8, we saw Lex snag Steel’s battle armor. This put him on equal footing with Superman for the first time.
Michael Cudlitz plays the infamous Lex in Superman & Lois. He spilled the beans in a recent interview with ScreenRant. He gave us all the details about suiting up and what it means for the show’s grand finale.
So, let’s get right into all the thrilling details about it.
What Michael Cudlitz had to say
Cudlitz confirmed what fans have been dreaming of. The Lexosuit is happening.
“You will definitely see it within the next two episodes after this one.”
He shared that the wait is almost over. Suiting up, according to him, was a childhood dream. He shared:
“It’s awesome… like getting back to being a 10-year-old and acting out/getting to be your favorite superhero.”
However, wearing the suit isn’t all fun and games. It’s a complex piece of work requiring three people (Cudlitz included) to assemble it properly. He joked about how restrictive it is. But he also admitted that seeing it on film makes it all worthwhile:
It's ridiculous in the best way, you can't move around very easily. You're very restricted, and it takes three - myself included - to get you into it. So the three of us are all working very hard to get these components on so that everything looks good. But, yeah, no, it's not heavy. I'm sure Wolé [Parks] would confirm that it's not something you want to wear every day. But when you see it on film, you think, 'Well, if I had to, I would wear it every day.' It's like a dream come true."
Why the Lexosuit is a big deal
The Lexosuit has been a significant part of Lex Luthor’s story in the comics. But live-action adaptations have rarely done it justice.
Superman & Lois is taking a bold step by introducing it in such a climactic way. Instead of creating an entirely new suit, the show cleverly ties it to John Henry Irons’ armor. This gives it a grounded and a more practical feel.
This also adds a fresh twist to Lex’s character. It makes a more formidable foe. His rivalry with Superman has always been about brains versus brawn. But now Lex is leveling the playing field.

What this means for Superman & Lois Season 4
Superman & Lois is nearing its end. And it’s clear that the showrunners are pulling out all the stops. Michael Cudlitz’s portrayal of Lex Luthor is cunning and ruthless. He seems like a worthy opponent to challenge Clark Kent.
The battle between Lex and Superman is set to be the ultimate face-off. With Lex in his armor, the dynamic shifts entirely. It gives us a more comic-book-accurate showdown. Tyler Hoechlin and Michael Cudlitz are both bringing their A-game.
