Just One Look, the Netflix adaptation of another Harlan Coben novel, might not be renewed for a new season. It is the third time that Harlan's novel was adapted to a miniseries, but as the book doesn't have any sequel, it isn't easy to expect season 2. Secondly, Netflix also gauges shows based on its viewership and audience engagement, and it has not released any official statement about the show's renewal.
The story follows Greta, a wife and mother of two children, who discovers her husband's disturbing past. She discovers a photograph of his younger self surrounded by unfamiliar faces. Initially, the show portrays her as a happy, vibrant woman, but after she investigates the case, her life drastically changes. She starts to question what she knows about her husband and the people around her. She feels like she is married to a stranger.
Will there be a Just One Look Season 2?
According to the official IMDB website, the show is rated 6/10. Netflix usually compares audience engagement with production cost to determine whether a series is profitable for the platform and decides its renewal. Therefore, the platform is taking its time to make any official announcements, but it is speculated that the series is less likely to have another season.
This is because the ending of season one completes its narrative circle without setting up any cliffhanger for the potential subsequent season. In addition, the source material- the novel on which the miniseries is based is finished and does not have any sequel.
However, the final decision will depend on Netflix. If the show returns, season 2 will have a unique mystery to solve, probably within the same characters and film world.
Upcoming projects of Harlan Coben Universe after Just One Look, explored

Season 1 of Just One Look premiered on March 5, 2025. It is based on the standalone book. However, even if the show doesn't get renewed, Harlan Coben Universe has several other TV series and movies lined up. In 2018, Netflix made a deal with Harlan Coben to adapt various novels into miniseries. This includes Fool Me Once, Missing You, and Safe, among others. Another project adapting Harlan's novel is under production and is expected to be released in 2026.
Myron Bolitar, written by the same author, is another TV show that will appear on Netflix, along with an already greenlit movie titled Six Years. Six Years is a psychological thriller about Jake Fisher, a man who has spent six years mourning the loss of his true love, Natalie, after she suddenly married another man. The former, as the title suggests, follows Myron Bolitar, a former basketball star turned sports agent who also works as an investigator.
