The Dexter franchise is expanding the universe with a prequel series called Dexter: Original Sin, which will supposedly dive deeper into the backstory of Dexter Morgan. Viewers have been curious about Jennifer Carpenter's return as Debra Morgan, Dexter's beloved yet complicated sister, especially considering her prominent role in the original series and her haunting return in Dexter: New Blood.
However, Jennifer Carpenter will not return in the prequel.
