Am I Being Unreasonable? has left viewers clamoring for answers following the Season 2 finale. The BBC drama, co-created by Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, only increased the suspense with its newest season. Although a formal renewal has not yet been announced, teasers indicate that the plot is far from finished.
Season 2 ended on a huge cliffhanger, with Nic (Daisy May Cooper) coming face-to-face with the lad who witnessed her push Alex under a train. Meanwhile, Suzie Van de Meer disappeared mysteriously, and Ollie, Nic's son, revealed the truth—and, it seems, took steps of his own regarding Suzie.
With so many loose ends, it’s difficult to imagine Am I Being Unreasonable? staying away for good. While no BBC announcement has been made, Cooper herself has referenced the challenges of scripting Season 3.
In an interview at a Season 2 Q&A session, she confirmed that the already established plot twists had made writing a sequel storyline difficult. Nevertheless, in a separate podcast interview on Firecrotch & Normcore: They Like To Watch, she confirmed that the show had been recommissioned.
With this in mind, Season 3 seems more a matter of 'when' than 'if.'
When could Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 3 be released?
If history is anything to go by, Season 3 might not arrive anytime soon. Cooper and Hizli spent over two years working on Season 2, so if the same timeline is followed, audiences might not get new episodes until late 2026 or early 2027.
Cooper herself has admitted to the long writing process, telling Hello! magazine that Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 2 involved extensive brainstorming:
“Now the teenagers, why wouldn’t they have gone to the police? That’s why we got Jack Thorne to help us out. Series three (expletive) hell.”
Although there have been setbacks, fans remain eager for more. Social media is buzzing with speculation, with some even hoping for not just one but two more seasons. Given the show's cult following, the BBC is likely to confirm its renewal soon.
What could happen in the plot of Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 3?
With so many unresolved storylines, Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 3 has a lot to explore. One of the biggest questions is what happened to Suzie—did Ollie have something sinister in mind to silence her? If so, Season 3 might delve deeper into his psychological development, mirroring Nic's own crisis of conscience.
Then there’s the added complication of Alex's murder witness, which raises the stakes as the risk of exposure looms. Another major narrative thread is Jen’s character arc.
After two seasons of tormenting Nic, could she finally be held accountable? Or will Nic continue down the same disastrous path, or perhaps attempt to change her ways and make amends?
With its signature blend of dark humor and psychological suspense, any twist the show takes must be both nail-bitingly exciting and deeply unsettling.
For now, viewers can only speculate as they await confirmation. But given the show’s popularity and the unanswered questions left by Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 2, a third season seems almost inevitable.
