Max and Cole fall out in Wild Cards Season 2 Episode 1
The first episode of the second season of Wilds Cards shows Max and Cole getting into an argument over evidence that’s important in connection to Cole’s brother Danile’s murder. They listen to a recording where a man admits to the random killing of Daniel, and Max tells Cole that it was found among Albert’s recordings.
However, Cole points out how Max had previously said Albert’s recordings were gone. The situation leads to him distrusting her again. Although Max reassures him and tells that she would never lie over a serious thing as the death of Cole's brother, Cole considers arresting her.
Max insists they should keep working together in order to find Daniel’s killer, and promises to return the imperial egg if Cole ensures her freedom. Seeing no other logical option, Cole agrees. He, however, mentions that they would not meet after this.
In a remote parking lot, Max and Cole meet Ricky Wilson (Fletcher Donovan), who gives them a case that supposedly has the imperial egg. Ricky suspects Cole will not keep his promise of freeing Max after getting the egg. To this, Cole retorts with sarcasm that unlike certain people, some do keep their words.

With the imperial egg all set to be picked up by Graves’ security, Cole and Max get pulled into a robbery case, for which they have to infiltrate the gang in question. For this, they start preparing to participate in an illegal street race, so that they can gain trust within that community.
The duo also hopes that during this investigation, they will be able to gain vital insight on Daniel’s killer. As things get to motion, it is revealed that there is a major heist plan going on, involving an EMP device. Add a kidnapped child to the plot, and the stakes become higher.
Max shows her skills as a race car driver, which helps the team get on good terms with potential allies and fellow racers. As the crew starts executing their dangerous plan to get hold of the money, Max and Cole race against time to ensure they keep the child safe while also fulfilling their mission.
Things end well as Cole successfully saves the child and the team recovers six million in cash, which was the objective of the operation. However, Zippo, whom Ricky had determined as the killer of Daniel, gets away in a prop plane he stole at gunpoint.
