Big Brother 2024 returned for its latest season and aired its third episode on October 8, 2024. The reality show features 16 individuals, aka housemates, who got into the "game" mode right from the first day.
During Big Brother 2024 Episode 3, housemates were divided into two parts. To get switched to the other part, they had to accept various challenges, i.e., "dares." One of the housemates, Rosie, 29, competed against Thomas, 20.

Both of them were given various challenges. Among a series of dares for Rosie, one was to change her name for the rest of the show to "Baked Potato." Rosie agreed to the dare to save herself from the upcoming elimination.
Things started to unravel from the beginning. Even the show's social media voting has switched Rosie's name to "Baked Potato," while Big Brother 2024 housemates have also started to call the dental assistant "Baked Potato."
The official synopsis for Big Brother 2024 reads,
"Big Brother: Live Launch will see a new batch of housemates from all walks of life take up residence in a revamped Big Brother house, which has been given a fresh lick of paint ahead of the new series. Once again, the public plays a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life-changing cash prize. Who wins? You decide."
Big Brother 2024: Rosie will now be known as "Baked Potato": Details explored
Recently aired Big Brother 2024 Episode 3 featured a game, Dreaded Dares. Upon successful completion of the tasks, housemates would be given immunity from the upcoming elimination process.
It all started the night brand-new contestants entered the show. They were divided into two parts: the red zone and the blue zone. Those in the red zone were then referred to as "non-housemates" and forced to live in the storage.
However, there was a choice to switch to the blue zone and become the "housemate." For that, various challenges were featured on the show's third episode.
Rosie and Thomas agreed to participate in those dares. At first, Thomas's dares included wearing a bucket over his head, wearing a stinky scarf, and shaving off one of his eyebrows.
Rosie was given dares to eat/ drink a blended cheese sandwich, stick chewing gum in her hair, and change her name. Her additional dare was that her nominations for the rest of the show would be carried out publicly, which she refused. She agreed to the rest of the dares.
As a result, she drank the cheese sandwich smoothie. She then signed a certificate that stated that her name throughout the rest of her time on Big Brother 2024 would be changed to "Baked Potato."
Since then, Rosie, aka Baked Potato, has created quite an amusement among fans and housemates. Also, since Baked Potato has been nominated for the upcoming elimination process, the show's official channels and websites have switched Rosie's name to Baked Potato.
Before she participated in the reality show, Rosie opened up and shared the reason behind joining Big Brother 2024,
"This is something I've always wanted to do, and I know it's so easy to say, but it's the best opportunity. I can't tell you how grateful I am. I can't even believe it's happening!"
The BB 2024 housemate also mentioned that she hoped to be a little "something" different.
"I think I'm going to bring positive energy. I am a good listener and I can be there to support people - I'm a supportive person. I'm quite an enthusiastic person so if people are feeling a bit low, I can get them back on track."
Rosie, aka Baked Potato, originally hails from Esses and is a dental assistant.
