Big Brother Season 26 housemate Kimo Apaka was recently evicted from the show during week 11. The latest 35th episode of the show featured an elimination that saw Kimo Apaka, a 35-year-old mattress sales representative, going home.
After his elimination from the reality show, Kimo Apaka appeared in his Entertainment Weekly interview published on October 4, 2024. During his recent appearance, the former Big Brother Season 26 housemate shared various things. Among many talks that he shared, one was particularly interesting.
Kimo Apaka shared why he was scared to watch back the episodes of the reality competition show. It was because he is "very much a belcher." Talking about the same, Kimo shared,
"I'm probably most scared to watch myself burping so often in this house. Goodness gracious, people! I'm very much a belcher. Probably just the things that you do in daily life that you don't consider because you're not being recorded for the whole day every single second of the day."
Big Brother Season 26: Kimo Apaka recalls his time on the show and him being a "belcher": Details explored
Big Brother Season 26 Episode 35 aired recently on Thursday, October 3, 2024. With 2 - 0 unanimous votes, Kimo had to leave the show after his elimination. He was voted out against fellow housemate Rubina Bernabe.
In his Entertainment Weekly interview, the Big Brother Season 26 star shared that being on the chopping block for the eighth time "wasn't the charm." Because there were now only "a handful," and only "one" would win, as shared by a former Big Brother housemate.
"We've all grown to be really attached to each other and to care a lot about each other, so every single decision that anyone makes, I know, is a tough decision, and I feel like this cat just kind of was on my last life in the house," shared Kimo.
Further, he talked about how if he had a chance and was still on the show, he might have had a "really good shot" at winning if he were against Cam. He described Cam as someone who has kept his cards "close to his chest."
However, he mentioned that his read on "things" could have been "completely off," and this was only what he thought.
The recently evicted housemate also shared about what his "finale speech" would have been on the show. When Kimo was asked about watching the show episodes back and whether there was anything in particular that he was scared of, he had something interesting to share.
Kimo Apaka mentioned that seeing himself "belching" on the show throughout the season would be that.
"But a lot of what I've done in this house is very close to who I am in the real world, and it's so easy to forget about all the cameras once you get into the house, surprisingly. But probably a lot of what people might perceive as like, "Don't burp so loud, don't be so gassy." Maybe that. Oh my goodness!" shared Kimo Apaka.
Wondering about the possibility of being able to change "one thing," Kimo said it would be tough for him. It was because, as Kimo shared, he made the decisions while "adapting" to the game at that particular moment. He mentioned that he didn't want to leave the reality show with "regrets."
"I was going to maximize this game as much as I could given the circumstances and who was in the house."
The former Big Brother Season 26 housemate concluded his interview by sharing that he felt he played the "best game" he could. He also shared that he would "love to" play the game again and definitely change things during that game.
