Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 episodes are released on Paramount + every Friday, with linear debuts on Showtime on Sundays. However, there is no episode scheduled for release this Friday, January 17.
Since its debut, the show has been a hit among the viewers, resulting in steady ratings. Positioned as a prequel to the limited series, New Blood, the series explores the life of the serial killer Dexter Morgan (Patrick Gibson) as a young student, and his gradual foray into the world of killing.
Dexter: Original Sin has not dropped a new episode this week because the season is on a mid-season hiatus. The series is expected to have 10 episodes, and the first batch with six episodes has already been released. The fans were treated with a double delight when episodes 2 and 3 launched on December 20, 2024, and that could be a reason, too, why this week has no new episode. However, fans needn't worry, the show returns next week. The next episode of Dexter: Original Sin drops on Paramount+ Showtime on January 24, 2025, midnight ET. Read on to know the details.
When will Dexter: Original Sin return with a new episode?
Halfway through the season, fans cannot contain their excitement and are eagerly waiting for the next episode to be released, particularly becausethe last aired Episode 6 ended on a high with things starting to become troublesome for Dexter Morgan. For a quick recap, Episode 6 will air on Paramount + at 8 pm ET on January 19.
There will be no more breaks this season and the show will drop episodes as per planned schedule. Episodes 8 and 9 will release on January 31 and February 7 respectively. The season finale will air on February 14, 2025.
What can you expect from Dexter: Original Sin Episode 7?
Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 7 is titled The Big Bad Body Problem, and its trailer has already dropped. At the end of Episode 6, we find Dexter being questioned by police officers with Levi Reed's body in his car's trunk. We also find Tony Ferrer's arm with his signature ring being discovered by Florida police, which makes things more difficult for Dexter. In the trailer of Episode 7, we find Dexter on the verge of getting caught.
Will his Miami Metro badge save him from getting caught? Or will he get exposed? With the detectives too close to his body disposal location, will Dexter be able to get rid of Levi Reed's corpse? These are the few questions that could be interesting to look forward to in the anticipated Episode 7 of Dexter: Original Series Season 1.
