Why Creature Commandos Season 2 needs to have this one character

The first season of Creature Commandos has finally concluded, leaving fans excited for the upcoming new team while also featuring the end of a beloved character, Nina Mazursky. The hit DC animated show delves into the tragic backstories of its characters like Weasel, Dr. Phosphorus, and how can we forget Nina.

Her backstory was explored in the finale of Creature Commandos, just a few moments before her unexpected death. What made Nina different from her teammates is that she has been a kind-hearted and emotional metahuman since her birth.

As seen in the Season 1 finale, Bride and her team are determined to take down Princess Ilana Rostovic and choose Nina to confront her inside the water. Little did they know that Nina’s story would abruptly end, that too at the hands of the Princess they had planned to eliminate.

Nina’s death served as a major shock not only to the fans but also to the misfits. As a result, the Bride takes on the responsibility to avenge the only friend she had and shoots the Princess in the final moments.

Now that the black ops team has accomplished their goal and didn’t let Amanda Waller down, the government official awarded Bride with a new team, along with Weasel and Dr. Phosphorus.

Nina Mazursky’s unique role in Creature Commandos makes her irreplaceable

As mentioned above, Nina Mazursky wasn’t just a Task Force M member but the heart and brains of the black ops team. Even Amanda Waller was impressed by her kindness and unique skills, followed by Bride becoming close friends with her.

Unlike her teammates, Nina chose to avoid violence or impulsive decisions in Creature Commandos Season 1. She’s a crucial figure in the comics, but the animated show didn’t dive deep into her story.

She became famous for her underwater missions in the comics and would have risen to power if Creature Commandos Season 1 hadn’t killed the hero off before time. In the finale, the Princess stabs Nina, resulting in her tragic death.

However, this doesn’t mean that there’s no possibility of Nina appearing in Season 2. As previously mentioned, the upcoming season will have new members like Noseferata, King Shark, and Khalis, and one of them might help revive Nina.

Khalis is briefly seen during the final moments of Season 1 when he joins Bride for a new mission. As revealed in the comics, Khalis is known for his ability to heal and revive others, and this can be used to bring back Nina to life, as there’s more to tell about her story.
