In March 2025 TV actor, Isaiah Stokes, known for his roles in CBS' Blue Bloods, and NBC's Law and Order: SVU was found guilty of murdering Tyrone Jones and could face up to 25 years in prison. Stokes was accused of stalking Jones via GPS and brutally firing eleven times in his head and chest, killing him outside a restaurant in St. Albans, Queens, on February 7, 2021.
As per a press release from the District Attorney of Queens on March 10, 2025, Isaiah Stokes was convicted of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
The conviction follows a series of tragic events that began as a small disagreement at a birthday party in 2020. What began as a physical altercation between the two resulted in a gruesome act of revenge by Isaiah Stokes.
Born and raised in Queen, New York, Isaish Stokes had a bright future in music and acting. Beginning his career as a Hip-hop artist he gained fame with mixtapes and collaborations. Stokes was a part of several notable TV series including Power, Broadwalk Empire, Rescue Me, and Law and Order: SVU. He was also a part of feature films such as Killa Season and Boy Wonder.

District Attorney, Melinda Katz, tagged Tyrone Jones' death as a "calculated murder" by Blue Bloods actor, Isaiah Stokes. The events began in October 2020 at Jones' birthday party in Queen's Club, where Stokes was thrown out for misbehaving with two female guests. As Stokes refused to leave the party, there was a fiery altercation between Stokes and the party attendees, leaving Stokes injured.
Isaiah Stokes reportedly harbored a grudge against Jones and carefully planned his murder five months later on February 7, 2021. As per the prosecutors, Stokes planted GPS in Tyrone Jones' Jeep Cherokee to track him down.
On February 7, 2021, Stokes in an Audi SUV, followed Jones' car. Jones' meanwhile unaware of his fate was sitting in his Jeep Cherokee outside a restaurant in St. Albans' waiting for his friend to arrive. Stokes' parked his car 15 minutes away and walked down to Jones' car. He took out a gun and brutally shot Jones eleven times in the head and face, killing him on the spot.
Stokes planned out the murder, as he drove the Audi SUV to his Rego Park apartment and later returned it to the rental services in Hackensack, New Jersey on February 17, 2021. He was arrested on July 16, 2021, from his apartment where the detectives found documents connected to the GPS tracking device found on Jones' car.
In the press release, District Attorney Katz stated:
"My office is laser-focused on gun violence, and we will utilize every tool at our disposal to investigate, arrest, and prosecute those who use deadly guns on our street. I thank our prosecutors and NYPD detectives who built this case."
The Blue Bloods actor now faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison. As per the press release, Stokes' sentencing date is set for Friday, March 21, 2025.
