She had accompanied one of her girlfriends there and initially took Kyle as a Texas native, learning later that he hailed from New York. According to People magazine, she and Kyle were in a long-distance relationship for some time before they eventually tied the knot in 2012.
Kelly recently appeared in the November 2024 edition of the Drew Barrymore show and spoke about the moment she met Kyle. She revealed:
