The world of The Dragon Prince is a fantasy world that was birthed from the minds of Justin Richmond and Aaron Ehasz. The fantasy genre is nothing new for Ehasz as he also served as co-executive producer and head writer for the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The Dragon Prince is set in Xadia, a fictional continent. Of the numerous characters, Queen Aanya voiced by Zelda Ehasz has become a fan-favourite. She has made several appearances throughout the different seasons ever since her first one in "Book" or season 2 and is set to return in The Dragon Prince Season 7 on Netflix.
Who is Queen Aanya in The Dragon Prince Season 7?
The word "Aanya" is of significance, and it has different meanings in different languages. It means "grace" in Hebrew and "precious" in Persian. The first time we see Queen Aanya of Duren in the world of The Dragon Prince is in the fifth episode of the second season. In the episode titled Breaking the Seal, Viren attempts to win the support of five heads of state, including the young queen of Duren at a summit of the five kingdoms to invade Xadia.
At the same time, the episode flashbacks also show viewers an important moment that happened during King Harrow's reign. Aanya, despite being just a child, is the wisest of them all as she refuses to send her forces to fight a war against Xadia's forces. She sees through Viren's attempt to manipulate her and throw him off his game in a sassy way. At the summit, Aanya successfully changes the minds of other kings about sending their forces to attack Xadia.
Apart from, political acumen, Aanya is a skilled horse rider and archer. She can fire arrows while staying on the saddle. All these qualities have made people across The Dragon Prince Universe describe her as smart and decisive. She appeared throughout the next few seasons five other times and is set to play a role in The Dragon Prince Season 7.
Creator Aaron Ehasz's daughter, Zelda Ehasz, will voice Queen Aanya, and fans are excited to see her in action in the concluding season that was released on December 19, 2024.

What is The Dragon Prince about?
There are three characters, princes Ezran and Callum, who are human, and Rayla, a Moonshadow Elf. Like Avatar, there is a seemingly never-ending conflict, but this time between the human kingdoms, elves, and the dragons. The protagonists look to peacefully end the war and at the same time care for the infant Storm Dragon named Azymondias, who is also the titular Dragon Prince.
