Walton Goggins has been voicing Cecil since the very first season of Invincible. The Alabama native started his acting career in 1989 with episodic appearances in the show, In the Heat of the Night. He later had brief roles in Beverly Hills, 90210, I'll Fly Away, NYPD Blue, and JAG.

Meanwhile, he also joined films and was seen in the 1994 martial arts drama, The Next Karate Kid, the 1997 crime thriller, Switchback, and the 2000 superhero flick, The Crow: Salvation.

Goggins had a breakthrough in 2002 when he was cast as Detective Shane Vendrell in the FX crime drama, The Shield. He remained associated with the show till its conclusion in 2008.
