Vinessa Antoine, best remembered for her role in the medical drama General Hospital, is back and will be seen in another popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. After concluding the role of Jordan on General Hospital, Vinessa starred in several prime time shows before she bagged her role in yet another medical drama.
After Vinessa left General Hospital in 2018, she became the first black Canadian actress to feature as a lead in a prime time drama when she landed her role in Diggstown. After the conclusion of the legal drama, the actress has appeared in various other shows and Canadian dramas.
Since Vinessa is making her debut in Grey’s Anatomy with the episode titled Drop It Like It’s Hot, let us now explore in detail what her role might be in the show and also what other projects she is involved in.
What is Vinessa Antoine’s role in Grey’s Anatomy?
Antoine announced on her Instagram account that she will be appearing on Grey’s Anatomy on the latest episode. Previously, she had also shared her picture from the set, with the caption,
“This is definitely G-d.”
The episode that Antoine will be featuring in will see the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital struggle with an absurdly high number of patients as the effect of a deadly heat wave. On the other hand, Winston and Amelia are shown to be dealing with a challenging surgery and things take an unexpected turn when Lucas and Jo go to run errands for the hospital.
Since one of Antoine’s Instagram posts announcing her joining Grey’s Anatomy had featured Anthony Hill (Winston), it can be speculated that her story in the show can be somehow connected to his character. She can be the patient undergoing the critical surgery performed by Winston and Amelia or she could be his love interest as well.
Since Winston’s divorce with Maggie, he has not really been serious with anyone and so a possible romantic angle is definitely there. However, since nothing concrete about her role has been mentioned by neither Antoine nor the team of Grey’s Anatomy, all these theories remain speculations only.
