Attention Potterheads! Food Network is here with Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, a brand new baking reality show based on the Harry Potter movies.
The show will be released on November 14, 2024, and stream globally on Food Network and Max. It is a unique baking competition between bakers who work in teams to create magical, mouthwatering dishes.
Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking will be hosted by the beloved Weasley twins Oliver and James Phelps. The bakers will conjure up wizardry and turn it into mouth-watering delicacies.
It's easy to guess where it's filmed—the show takes place at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, the home of the Harry Potter films. You can also expect Harry Potter stars like Bonnie Wright, Warwick Davis, and Evanna Lynch to make guest appearances.
It's time to meet the culinary wizards, the teams in Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.
Who are the teams in Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking?
There are nine teams with two people each in Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.
1. Elizabeth and Juan
Elizabeth is a big Harry Potter fan who almost retired from competitions until Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking because how can a Potterhead resist this? She identifies with Molly Weasley from the films.
Juan, executive pastry chef, and chocolatier, recently discovered that he is rather a Hufflepuff than a Gryffindor, as he previously thought himself of. They both will compete together in the competition.
2. Jessica and Jamie
Jessica, an award-winning pastry chef, mostly identifies with the character of Ron Weasly because she, too, doesn't take life too seriously.
Jamie is mostly known for her anatomical heartcakes. She is a crazy fan of the movies and wants to recreate the moving staircase as a dessert.
3. Miko and Chris
Miko thinks of himself as a Slytherin and finds comfort in the movies when life gets too stressful. He thinks of Snape as an unsung hero, and we are excited to see him honor Snape in Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking through one of his creations.
Miko is partnered up with a fellow Slytherin, Chris, a pastry chef. He wants to recreate one of the iconic Harry Potter locations, the Forbidden Forest.
4. Yohann and Kayla
Kayla is a cake designer who likes to decorate colorful cakes. Her favorite location from the movies is the Great Hall because that is where all the food is, spoken like a true foodie! She has also appeared in Netflix's Is It Cake?
Yohann is an executive pastry chef who thinks of himself as a Gryffindor because they are always the winners—spoken like a true champion! His favorite character is Dumbledore.
5. Conner and Michael
The youngest contestant on Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, Conner, is a pastry chef at just 18 years of age. He identifies as a Gryffindor and wants an endless supply of chocolate to recreate Hogwarts Express.
Michael is a cake designer who has been a fan of books since he was a child. Ironically, his two favorite characters are Dumbledore and Voldemort, who symbolize the balance between good and evil.
6. Lisa and Mitzi
Lisa's favorite character is Hagrid, which is apparent from her large cakes. She is a proud Hufflepuff and wants to recreate Hagrid's Hut, because who doesn't love Hagrid?
Mitzi is an executive pastry chef who loves Luna Lovegood because of her goodness and eccentricities. She is also a fan of the potions classes.
7. Hemu and Riccardo
Next up on Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking is Riccardo. He became a fan of the movies when he watched Goblet of Fire in High School. He then binged the series from the start and is a proud Gryffindor, although he also identifies as a Slytherin like Harry.
Hemu is also a fellow Gryffindor who is known for her realistic cakes. Her favorite character is Dobby because she would do anything for those she loves.
8. Jordan and Zoe
A Hufflepuff, Zoe is a self-taught cake artist. She once visited the set of Philosopher's Stone and has loved the movies ever since. She now reads the books to her children.
Loyal, diligent, and dedicated to his profession, Jordan has everything to be a Hufflepuff. He identifies with Cedric's character the most.
9. Kimberly and Ashley
Kimberly has been baking for 16 years, specializing in wedding cakes. Dumbledore's wisdom and good-heartedness make him her favorite character from the movies.
Ashley is a French-trained pastry chef who is creative with her Gingerbread Mansions. Finally, a Ravenclaw in the list, she has a thirst for knowledge and creativity.
The winners of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking will be prized with a Wizards of Baking Cup, which will be complemented to them in the Great Hall.
