Despite being a long-time Star Wars fan, Nick Frost was initially hesitant to join the franchise. The actor finally opened up about his hesitation in an interview with Fantha Tracks TV.

The Krazy House star mentioned admiring the characters so much that he was doubtful about doing justice to one of them. Frost said:

"I got offered a role once in 'Alan Partridge,' a long time ago and I turned it down because I liked 'Alan Partridge' too much for me to just be in it."

Nick Frost stated that he turned down a role that was tied to Steve Coogan’s iconic character, Alan Partridge, just because of his hesitation. However, SM-33's unique nature changed the actor's mind.

Frost happily joined Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, as his role provided him with the opportunity to become a part of his beloved franchise while remaining behind the scenes. Frost was intrigued by every aspect of SM-33, from his unusual design to the rat that lived inside him.
