Reacher Season 3 was released on February 20, 2025, on Prime Video. This season, stakes are higher than ever as the main protagonist Jack Reacher faces threats like Francis Xavier Quinn.
Quinn is one of the key characters of Reacher Season 3. He is introduced as a former U.S. Army Lieutenant turned criminal mastermind. Played by Brian Tee, he is one of the central antagonists for this season who is connected with Zachary Beck who runs an illegal arms smuggling under the cover of a legitimate rug business.
Interestingly, Jack Reacher shot Quinn and threw him off a cliff years ago but Quinn's return proves that he did not die. The Reacher Season 3 has thus laid the framework for an intense season ahead where Jack not only faces his new enemies but also an old one.
Here's a look at who Quinn is and how is his character relevant in Reacher Season 3
Who is Quinn in Reacher Season 3?

Quinn is a former Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army who sold military classified information to other nations. Jack and his colleague, Dominique Kohl investigated Quinn's illegal trade of information. Quinn out of rage brutally killed Kohl which led to Jack killing Quinn as revenge. However, Quinn did not die.
In Reacher Season 3 Episode 1 when Jack notices Quinn after a decade, he appears quite shocked and calls him "the single worst person I've ever known." As soon as Jack sees Xavier Quinn he plots out plans to kill him.
In Season 3, DEA is behind Zachary Beck, who is associated with an illegal business. When Jack realizes that Quinn is linked to Beck, he agrees to go undercover for the mission. In a planned kidnapping scene, where Jack saves Beck's son, Jack comes in close contact with Beck and his bodyguard Paulie and hence he slowly paves the way to reach his enemy, Quinn. The upcoming episodes might show a confrontation between the two.
In an interview with Screen Time, as reported by Express, Brian Tee who plays Quinn in Reacher Season 3 opened up about his character. He said,
"Quinn is a treasonous foe with a mean streak and an Army background, a terrible human being. He's a sociopath, a narcissistic psychopath in every sense of the word. But in playing him he is doing right for himself whatever that means."
Tee also hinted toward an exciting rivalry between Quinn and Jack Reacher.
The Death of Dominique Kohl: Quinn's rage and Reacher's vengeance
Quinn was a former military officer who sold classified information to hostile nations. Jack Reacher along with his mentee Dominique Kohl investigated Quinn's illegal dealings. This left Quinn quite angry and he killed Kohl when she came to arrest him.
Lee Child's novel Persuader, which the season is based on, takes us on a series of flashbacks. Jack describes to Detective Turner what Quinn did to Kohl's body. Quinn had stripped her, stabbed her in her head, and brutally beaten her to death. When Jack found Kohl's body he got very emotional and blamed himself for Kohl's death.
Jack Reacher thus killed Quinn as revenge for Kohl's death, but Quinn's return after a decade proves that he got saved somehow.
