Rowland made his professional debut with Tweet: The Series in 2015 and was later seen in the 2018 horror comedy film Trico Tri Happy Halloween. In 2017, he was cast in Nickelodeon's I Am Frankie, which marked his first major television project. He played Frankie’s love interest, Cole Reyes, in the show.

The actor then appeared in several music videos and was also seen in the films Dream Killer, Sinister Seduction, and Santa in Training. In 2020, he played Will Hansen in the ABC sitcom American Housewife. The same year, he was cast as Ty in Sweet Magnolias, and then there was no looking back.

Carson Rowland reveals why he chose to join Sweet Magnolias

Carson Rowland talked about what motivated him to join the cast of Sweet Magnolias in an interview with MUD Magazine. The actor said he was eager to work with Norman Buckley, one of the directors of the show, and hence, was excited to take up the project:

“What drew me to the show initially was the fact that Norman Buckley was attached. Norman, aside from being one of the nicest humans in existence, is nothing short of a legend when it comes to TV drama.”

He added -

“He’s directed some of TV's most iconic series, such as Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and much more, and the thought of possibly working alongside him was thrilling.”

Further opening up about the casting process, Rowland said he felt very confident after the audition:

“The audition process was a standard self-tape and in-person callback. However, after I left the callback room, I felt more confident than I had ever felt about a performance. I had given it all I had in that room and it paid off.”
